'On MOTU Classics: I talked to Brian from Super7 last night at Skeletor's Lair. They plan to continue the Classics line. They will still use the Horsemen, and he mentioned that there were a few Filmation characters that the Horsemen had ready for a possible 2017 line, so they will start there. He mentioned they plan to create new characters too.

Mattel is out, though. They basically licensed the MOTU property to Super7. So with the end of MattyCollector comes the end of Mattel's Classics line.

I have an interview scheduled with Brian Friday, so I'll be getting as many details as I can on video at that time.

Oh, and ThunderCats sounds like it's finished. I guess the license is a little too Co plated for Super7 to take on. So it seems we are only getting the 2016 figures that were already announced, and nothing more.

I cannot believe this! When will Thundercats actually get a full line? Can Mattel still produce the figures apart from the Matty sub and sell online?

Saw this also on he man. This is very dissapointing. Mattel can rather then stop and refund the money already charged. This is not good news. Now we have an incomplete line. Its like the tc fans always get the short end of the stick.

I am so freaking disappointed and infuriated.

Matty will not announce anything until they can get rid of their stock of ThunderKittens and then likely will cancel the subscriptions by offering refunds.

I'm assuming that the 2016 subscription will be completed.

Perhaps, 4H feared that this would happen and pumped out the kittens to add to the total number of figures. I wonder what 4H feels about this as they were hardcore TC fans to begin with. Can we get a kick starter or something to finish Tygra and Cheetara. Once Tygra is complete we can have it modded to get Bengali, as well.
There goes my wild dream of having Lunatacs and Mandora...great timing Mattel.

If I knew about this ahead of time, I would have pumped all this money (about $180) into the BTAS line or something.

I just wish that while they have the license make the core cats. I was really hoping for a Cheetara, Tygra and Bengali. It is really a shame. I am so disappointed. Why on earth does the licensing for the TC brand be so complicated.

This gives Mezco ample space to make a ONE:12 line of Thundercats. It shouldn't be that difficult since they've already completed the deluxe set. Lion-O just needs an updated sculpt. The Cheetara is perfect, in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see how the kittens will sell with this news. Guess they will be longer available instead of a minute sell out.

I got two subs. One to keep in box and one to take out. I guess I will keep one set and sell the other set. No need to keep two incomplete sets.

This sucks. ANOTHER unfinished toy line leaving the team uncompleted. I have three 2016 subscriptions and was looking forward to years of figures being released. Dreams of it being as successful as the MOTU line and us getting loads of characters from the show. This is a massive let-down. I feel completely crushed. Again. Why does this keep happening to us? The only thing keeping me from tears is the silver lining that Mezco has said that they want to do ThunderCats in the One:12 Collective after Mattel is done with their run. Well, they are done. Bring on the One:12 figures. I'm already a big fan of Mezco and I have half a dozen One:12 figures pre-ordered at my local comic shop. I'd rather buy my TCats local than a subscription model anyway.

I would love to start collecting the Batman TAS figures. They look awesome.
