Random question for fellow subscribers ... Did you guys have to put in your 3 digit security code when ordering the Thunderkittens during the online sale ?

Reason I'm asking is because I assumed that Matty would already have that seeing as I'm a subscriber .... So now it's made me paranoid as to whether or not they'll ship my Lion-O figure lol

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid .... Lol

Ok, I am usually not one to start arguements over stuff like this, but on this occasion, I feel the need to point out some things.

1. Who of you are actually buying this thing for the BIO written on the back of the packaging? That is the most irrelevant thing above the entire figure! Hell, the writing of the bios on the Transformers Masterpiece figures is in JAPANESE for crying out load, but I assure you that none of those fans care. Its just a part of the packaging, afterall. The toy itself is what's important.

2. The packaging design itself. As long as you can see the figure through a clear window and the packaging for the rest of the figures is pretty uniform, that is all that should matter.

3. My only gripe with the figure itself is how you're able to see all the lines in the joints. If they could have just found a way to conceal those, this figure would be just fine for me.

But possibly my biggest gripe of all:

4. You people are WAY too picky. Ever since Bandai and Mezco started releasing classic Thundercats style figures, there has been complaints over just about every product that has been released. Now I am not saying to just be accepting of everything a company does, but you need to realise that these products are manufactured in Chinese factories by people with possibly little to no knowledge of the franchise. People who are just building toys the best they can do while following the designer's instructions. We should all actually be grateful that anything gets created at all. Let's be real here. Thundercats doesn't have the largest fan base out there. So if a company decides to take a gamble by investing in making toys for a niche market such as this, then we should be happy and grateful, instead of only nitpicking about every little thing.

In short, you're getting Thundercats toys in 2016! Be happy!

My god, please dont start this nonsence. People cant give their opinion? I'm happy to have subbed, but this figure AND it's packadge is far from perfect and I dont see anything wrong with pointing-out what I dont like.

I'm keeping judgement until December/January when I have mine. He does look weird from the side, but then again, the Mezco statue of Lion-O also looks odd. I tried comparing what we see from the "demo model" to this one and can see that the joints look "incomplete" but I'll comment as well when I can see it up close. I am happy though that its almost here. Just under 4 months until I have mine in hand (hopefully!).

I think he looks great so far but really won't know for sure until he's in hand. The ab crunch looks weird from the pictures but it looks fine on all the Filmation figures in person so I'm sure it will be great. Honestly, I'd much rather have the ab crunch/painted armor than the oversized sculpted bulky armor pieces seen on a lot of the MoTU classics figures.

The way it is done is better than the armour option. So many MOTUC figures got ruined with that awful fat armour. Personally I don't think there is much need for an ab crunch joint on most figures.

Amen to that! I'm so sick of the whole "we should be grateful" sermon.

Was wondering that too. The hip joints are sufficient to bend the torso of the figure. Having an ab joint on a 6 inch figure seems like overkill to me.

I can understand some characters like Spider-Man etc having an ab crunch but some characters never really did that much that I could imagine anyone posing them needing that joint. I like articulation on figures but there is a limit. Like the Toy Biz Marvel Legends put in too much articulation and in a lot of cases spoiled the sculpt and overall look of certain figures.

The only complaint I have about the figure is it is lion-o. Other than that, the figure and accessories look great, good job Mattel! Cant wait to get mine, and all the other figures after. Once those villians start coming off the production line I can see me starting to buy doubles of these figures.

Do you guys think it will have a slip cover, like the Kittens? That would explain the 'bare bones' packaging shown so far...

I agree about the bulky armor on the MOTUC's, but I think a more cartoon accurate sculpted armor would benefit the look of the figure greatly.

I did a very poor mock-up, in which I also shrunk his head a bit:

You version already looks better. :D Now if you could do something about the diaper crotch lol.

Btw is it just me or does anyone else think that Lion-o's hand looks like a re-use of Filmation Skeletor's hand? Oh well considering how much else was re-used what else could be expected.

I thought he looked off when I first saw the images but I think it's the way they posed him for the photos and the angle they were taken at. In package he looks fantastic and I can't wait to get him :) I look forward to fans getting him in hand so we can get better posed pics of him ;) He's definitely the best version we have got of the character to date for sure.

I agree about the packaging looking a bit dull. The background behind Lion-O should have had the ThunderCat insignia (Mumm-Ra's snake insignia for the bad guys package) and it should really have the character name written on the front. Whoever designed this certainly went for the minimal look and I'm not so sure it works...

My card's been charged. So I assume they're shipping soon.

I look forward for this first subscription figure arrival!

Got the charge aswell but it seems awfully high. $44.09? It's almost like they charged me $30 instead of $25 for the figure.
