Congrats on getting #2. As the #1 was sent back to Hard Hero after being filed down on the chin and repainted by the buyer, I reckon you own the closest thing there is to a mint condition #1 statue now.

Lion-o
I know the colors are on the dark side, but why would you even mess with a #1???

Oh boy, I'm never going to hear the end of this lol! The chin was too lopsided, so I carefully filed it down evenly. I went to a couple of comic shops and the chins were perfectly fine compared to mine. Long story short, I asked if I can get a replacement. Sadly the replacement had the Thundercats decal on the Sword of Omens misplaced so I'm waiting on the third. As far as AP numbers go, It's a crock. I think the bttm layers were simply glued to random statue assprtment to make them AP's.

I see, i wish they send you a good one for the third and hopefully last time! the whole concern does credit to Hard Hero's sevice. Hey, when you receive it and if it's everything ok it would be cool to post a pic of the chin. I checked out some regulars out of curiosity and it seems like 50-50, not a big difference at all.

Hey I've seen your Lion-o before at comicworld, every now and then i pay a visit to your Greek forum but only as a guest, no offence the Thundercats' coverage is still in its infancy there...anyway great job for keeping Thundercats updated in our country. Splendid artistic skills on the hair:thumbsup:

I look forward to seeing the photos of your repaint. Personally I couldn't imaging customizing a statue.

Much as i respect a lot peoples talent for sculpting and painting i wouldn't tamper with a hand-crafted piece of art either! I like them exactly as they were created in the first place by the acclaimed artists.

I too can't see customizing a statue, although, if there are small blemishes (missing paint, etc) I could see doing minor touchups. But I don't know if I could even justify "fixing" a deformation, like reshaping a misformed chin.

I know what you mean guys, If a statue doesn't need a repaint I don't touch it!!...but lion-o must have red hair!!...and i think cheetara can have blue eyeliner and don't look sleepy!...the scult fom me is art...the colors on the other hand...not always perfect...I want my Jean grey's hair red and not brown or orange..a most common mistake they do, artists or not!!

Even if we are talking about highly detailed, hand-crafted sculptures the existence of trifle flaws like small spots of overspray is pretty reasonable and in my perception it's part of the creation process which individualize one piece from another. Besides, the small signs of imperfections are hardly visible to the naked eye and make each statue special!!
Well, I don't think Lion-o's hair was mistakenly painted orange, it's better for me that way.
