Who received their Lion-O Statue?

I thought I would post a thread about who received their Lion-O statue. We can also tally the amount bought here at the org. I got my confirmation today and I'll be receiving it Wednesday the 27th so I figured why not start a thread already :-) Surprisingly my e-mail stated I would receive Lion-O AP #1 so I'm very excited! Let the fun and excitement begin... with pictures of course


1/23/10 - UPDATE! - The Regular 500 pc Lion-O statue is "SOLD OUT" That was fast unless its a glitch? Great news non the less!

You guys are very lucky!!:liono i check up on my credit card daily to see if it is charged but still nothing. I have ordered the AP signed by sculptor Lion-o statue from Big Bad Toystore. I e-mailed them right after the good news of early release and replied that they are not given any specific arrival information and the shipping schedules vary. I guess it is reasonable to primely supply the customers who directly ordered it from Hard Hero. I had tried back in September to purchase it directly too from Hard Hero's site but unfortunatelly they replied that they couldn't send to Greece. Apparently the demand is much bigger and urgent in US than in Europe! Generally it is preety difficult and costly to procure and purchase items from abroad in a small country like Greece! First of all the shipping costs are way too expensive, anyway no grumbling at all, i totally understand the situation! I expect to get mine around mid-February at best.
It would be wonderful to let us know the impressions of how the statue looks like close up!:thumbsup: Everybody take care!

That is terrific news that they sold out of Lion-Os! Wow this will mean good things for the line.

Thanks spideristic! I'm suppose to get mine today! I don't think those pics do the statue any justice. It kinda looks like plastic from the pics.

I am drooling over the pics over and over again.Thank you very much for sharing. The sword close up pics were very good,i think judging roughly by the first images this statue accentuates on the sword of omens revealing all its greatness. ONE WORD: BEAUTIFUL.

Mine is at home waiting for me... Can't wait to see this in person!

Finally got mine! Yay! I'd post pics but they always come up thumbnail size. My thoughts on the statue:

The actual box was quite small. The statue was a bit smaller than I initially expected but I don't really care. It kinda reminds me of NECA's MOTU staction figures but slightly larger. As for the statue, I actually like the hair treatment. Its very subtle and makes the piece look more interesting. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the color decisions. For an 80's cartoon franchise, this statue is pretty...grey. Mostly Lion-O's body color and hair. The body should have been less yellowish green/dirty and more brighter/cleaner and dare I say happier? Not much of contrast between the base and his body color unless you have a very strong light right over it. His Hair should have also been a shade or two more red. As for the sword of Omens, I was hoping they might have included a small red dot at the bttm for reference sake and maybe have it come separate? Would have been cool. All in all, they could have made this statue better but its not too bad. Out of 10, I'd rate it solid 8. Now bring on Cheetara!

i'm loving mine, i'm still debating on whether or not to buy the whole line, of course i'd love to have them but i dont know if i should spend this much money over and over esceially sincei 'm not sure if there's goign to be 6 or 60 or them ya know?

oh and i bought an AP and i'm pretty sure I didnt select the signed one, i could be wrong, looks like it's signed on the bottom. i'll get a pic up soon. anyone else notice this?

I say go for it, I doubt they are going to make more than 8-10 characters for this line. As far as money is concerned, don't think of the amount as a whole, just say its only $200 with each statue. When the final statue is in your hands, then take make sure to take a seat and add up the grand total lol! It works for me :-) Oh, and lets se some pics!!!

Got mine a few days ago. Even though I knew the height beforehand, I still pictured it bigger. But, it somehow looks even cooler in person!

Between being sick and having to dig out of one of the biggest snow storms in recent history here, I have not had the time/energy to get these pictures up. But here they are, with a little background chopping so the focus can stay where it belongs, on the statue.

#023 is an angle we all know, but so far I have not seen anyone take a shot at this angle (may have missed some posts though).

#023b is the same picture, but zoomed in on the sword/face.

#018 is of both the statue and an original action figure to give size and color something to compare to.

Liono07 is just an image I found on Google of a screenshot from an episode of the cartoon.

While the statue does not look right compared to the action figure, I personally feel it does look right when compared to the cartoon image...

this week repainted the silver to white and darkened his hair and added the orange highlights think looks a bit better

While I think the colors are a bit dark and the face a little cartoony, the detail really rocks! The hair is amazing! Makes me wish I had ordered one.

Here is a quick pic of my Lion-o on display,i know that he isn't in the best place to exhibit but i don't have the largest room and i am trying to clear up some place lately! One word about the statue:Beautiful i will be posting my thoughts and a thorough review very soon, i am open to your comments.

This whole set is going too great! So far I have the Lion-o A/P signed #2. Really looking forward to the rest of them to come out!!!
