Nice statue. Is it the light or is Tygra's costume blue? He should be a blue/green tint, leaning towards green not blue!

Cheers

I was having an eager anticipation for the huge Lion-o to be the centerpiece of my attention but when i saw the Tygra pics my jaw dropped... He looks so magnificent. The whole appearance is so cartoon accurate, the dynamic pose is straight from the opening scene, the bolo whip is ready to turn Tygra invisible and his face looks so good. Probably the best Thundercats statue by Hard Hero surpassing all our expectations.

In the last picture Cheetara, Tygra and Mumm-ra aren't connected to make a diorama, still they are so impressive standing side by side. Mumm-ra has a terrifying look, i love it. Thumbs up for Hard Hero:thumbsup:, keep up the excellent work.

Tygra looks great, but I am wondering about the blue/green tint as well, could be the lighting. He needs to be less blue and if I am not mistaken should be little more gray as well.
#5
I don't know. I suppose it has to grow on me like Bengali did. But the facial expression seems a bit boring. And the whip had so much potential and its looks boring and placid.

I don't know guys! Was there ever a green tint on Tygra's garb? I mean, i always thought he leaned towards a Blue/Gray look, probably it's a matter of personal perspective.:tygra:

Do you agree that up till now Tygra is the most cartoon accurate Thundercats statue along with Mumm-Ra, produced by Hard Hero? (And most likely the best!!)

I am very excited about this one:thumbsup:

You're right, but I searched and looked at some screen shots which appears to be little green at times.

But yeah I would go with gray and light blue as well.

Totally and I think his facial expression is really good. Calm face yet fierce eyes. And the bolo whip appears to be in motion, very well done.

Hey guys, we are able to share this prototype - not final version picture of Tygra which should give you a better idea of the actual colours when shot in the right kind of studio lighting.

Enjoy!

They really did a nice job with Tygra. I think they got the face down perfect. I may just have to shell out the money for this one.:p
#10
Oh Man:jaw: he looks even more astonishing!!! In this picture the colours are darker and immensely eye-catching. Hey Grizz, do you know why the delay on putting him up for pre-order at HH's site?
#11
Just a matter of getting final approval from WB I believe.
#12
Thanks for the pic Mark. I think that prototype still shows more shades of blue than gray. But I don't mind it, cause he looks freaking FANTASTIC.

In both shots Tygra looks great, i don't know which one is the final and approved by Hard Hero, Bennett hit the nail right on the head with this one! But personally i'd opt for the Blue/Gray version. It's radiating better!

Hey Dave, you are correct that Tygra has been portayed in green shades too but it probably has to do with the Lightning, anyway it's a trivial matter, the same conversation was going on back in January over Lion-o's dark skin and orange-tinted hair. The Thundercats statues by HH were inspired by the intro scene and they all seem to have a darker paint, the overcast backgroung is affecting it,it's fine with me, i like it since the overall quality is great.

As much as I've never really paid much attention to the exact colouring, the 'green' image posted by Dave seems more familiar and I like it. So i agree.
#16
I like the green one too. Well, so far, Hard Hero has been listening to the fans here alot and maybe they will change the colors on Tygra's outfit like the show.

That is neat how Bernie'sPiano changed the colors like that to match the show.

Yeah, anyone with some Photoshop or GIMP skills can do that. But he still did a good job of it.

Personally, both colors look equally right to me. My biggest worry is that whip. If individual fingers are too fragile to do, how can you have a whip like that?

Personally, I would rather the whip curve down, touch the ground and curve back up to give it more support. That, or have it spiral down/around him making a couple points of contact for support (like a shot 1/2 second before he starts to go invisible).

Hey, Guys
Hope those at the Con are having have blast. Not sure what's up with Mumm-ra's hand. Not inserted correct there. I'll speak with someone there. Maybe after that's corrected someone can put up another image.

A for the Tygra colors, after loads of research, the shades moved from blue to green to gray. It seems the green/gray shades were mostly from darker scenes (caves, shaded jungle and night) We chose the blues shades from the show opening, day shots. The these shades go contrast better with the tiger coat. I think Paul did a great job on this one.
Thanks to all.

Thanks for the update Rob. I thought that arm looked like it was just turned the wrong way.

This line is getting better with each one. Paul is doing a super-great job. :tygra:

Hi Rob, I have to say - I don't agree on this one. Tygra was always green from Exodus, through to Book of Omens, I haven't seen a single cel that shows it on the blue spectrum. Colour was very important in the development of the series - Panthro was the blue Thundercat, Cheetara yellow, Tygra green. Please see further cel examples (please note none are anything like your colours). Great statue, but it is the wrong colour scheme.

Cheers
Dave
