They're titled SILVERhawks for the obvious reason. And if the hero figures don't look silvery, well...would you still like them?

I mean, the only one that was actually silver was Quicksilver. Bluegrass was more blue, the twins were more of a grey-ish metal. And Copper Kidd was,..well, copper.

This is why I don't have that much enthusiasm to Silverhawks compared to Thundercats lolz they can't keep everyone silver. :laugh

Actually felt a bit for Bryan there, having to go over the same point repeatedly about the paint. I think he was pretty clear on his reasons for the paint and articulation. A lot of it boils down to it's what Bryan prefers, Shart should have just took that and moved on. I would have pulled him up on his comment about Silverhawks being show accurate to fit with the Thundercats though. Come on Brian, they aren't. The colours, the sculpts and the scale are all off to a certain extent on every figure.

To your point - I don't think Super7's execution has been flawless, I've been irritated with some very poor communication that could've been avoided, but in my opinion this wasn't so much an interview as a badgering. He was just being so sh**ty about it. I guess that explains the handle?
And someone else astutely pointed out, the simple decision to prematurely roll this out without paint finished has likely cost them a lot of buys. I don't think people are going to stick around and follow boards or frequent social media enough to catch the updates for what I'm confident will be a pretty sweet looking product. I'm in the minority, but I think a chrome-hawk wouldn't look great - that amount of flash just doesn't scale well and looks cheap (again, imho).

Interesting. Are they redoing it, or continuing it? I'm not sure that's clear at all to me here...

I read the news. I never imagined a SilverHawks reboot would happen, and on the franchise's 35th anniversary no less. It's probably gonna be a straight-up reboot.

This is big news, if done right SilverHawks has the potential to just a big as Star Wars and Star Trek!

A live action movie would be out of this world!!

The science mythology is very popular!:panthro

From what I see on the Nacelle Company they've only really done documentaries. No animation at all. And on their Instagram post they talk about working with Bryan Flynn on the project so.....

I'm not expecting this to be anything other than some sort of documentary on the toys.

Either that or just a HD remaster.

Nacelle also recently purchased Robot Force and are re-launching the toy line and a new TV show. :D

I mean if they're actually making a new series, that's awesome news. I'm just completely baffled at Super 7's involvement.

Brian Flynn now outright owns Silverhawks.

The rights to SilverHawks had been with Warner Bros. since 1989. Does this mean that they no longer have the rights?

Wait, what?!
Ok that makes a bit more sense then. I had no idea.

Though that means their Silverhawks figures could've been cheaper; no licensing fees.

They could be doing all their stuff cheaper but yes they could definitely be doing Silverhawks cheaper.

I've got to imagine buying the rights costs a lot more than licensing fees, eh?

Considering the popularity of Silverhawks and Tigersharks I wouldn't be too sure about that. ;):laugh

I actually prefer Mon-Star before the transformation. I hope that version of him is included in wave 2.

I do too. I like him more in that shape. He looks way more menacing.

Indeed. A cool character design. I never really watched Silverhawks but Mon-Star in his original form looks like a great villain character for Thundercats.
