Hard Hero Mumm-Ra delay deliberate??

To be honest, I'm almost done with HH. Purposely ignoring emails, these huge delays. Is it too much to ask to be kept in the loop, even just a tiny bit. I emailed them in July asking for just a "be patient, we're working on it" but I got nothing.

I don't think we're being hugely demanding here. Just a quick heads up, but we get nothing but silence. That's not really the best way to treat customers who buy statue after statue.

Like I said, I'm just about done with it.

I think it will show up sometime November/December

Sure.
Who knows?
Now we just need to know if it will be in November or December 2011 or 2021 ...
Well, Mumm-Ra is the Ever-living, right?
They are probably assuming that collectors are also.:p

I am concened about Hard Hero and Mumm-Ra's slow progress. It's been over a year since This statue was announced and it seems its release is on the rack...It is strange because the statues so far are selling pretty well and in most sites they are all Sold Out. I don't know what Hard Hero is having in mind with this unexplained delay, besides the fans loved the line .
I remember Pop Culture's Shock PF Lion-o was released much later too than it was initially anticipated, but Jerry Macaluso used to keep the fans updated on the Statue forum and respond to their questions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hard Hero, as aewsmith suggested, cancell its future releases of Thundercats.:lionomad:

Hey guys.
Did someone try calling the number in the Hard Hero homepage?
Phone:
(615) 867-3700

No, I'm trying a different route. Will update if I get a reply...

Is it just me, or is the statue forum down? I haven't been able to access it since last week.
#28
For me everything alright.
The only problem is delay of this statue...lol.
Day after day my hope is gone...

I still can't get to the site. I can view the Google cache of the page. Cleared my browser's cache twice now, still nothing :(

While we are concerned about the release of this statue or just the reply about our e-mails, Mr. Potts is participating in other forums like Statue Forum and Statue marvels.
That's is confirming my perception.
We're being avoided, maybe never be attended.
Well, I will contact the store were I place my Order and transfer this fund to another piece.

I have no info to offer as we haven't corresponded with Hard Heroes in quite a while now. My guess is they likely aren't moving forward with the statues, as I'd assume they would have updated fans by now.

Well, as I still can't get to the Statue Forum, I may as well let y'all know what I was trying...

Like Mumm-Ra, I had noticed Rob has been on the Statue Forum regularly, even if he is avoiding all of the ThunderCats threads in the area for Hard Hero statues. So I sent him a PM to see if maybe the reason no one has responded to our E-mails was due to some issue with Hard Hero's E-mail system. However, as I haven't been able to access the Statue Forum in over a week, I have no idea if Rob has responded or not.

I am able to get to the Statue Forum again. I think it may be a web filter giving me problems. Anyway, it has been over a month since I PM'ed Rob and nothing. Not even a response like 'nope, our E-mail is working fine' or ' I haven't seen anything, when did you send it'. Working in the technology area, I could fully understand E-mails getting blocked by an over-active SPAM filter. But I'm drawing a blank on overlooking a thread in a sub-forum just for you about the only license you are currently producing and not responding to PMs.

I believe I am done with the Hard Hero line now. No update on their own website since what, March? No updates on the Statue Forum or this forum since then either. And apparently they are responding to only 1 person who can't share any details.

Maybe I am expecting too much, but is it really that hard to give a short 1-2 sentence update? It doesn't even have to be frequent, just once every month or two (or once every six months even), on a forum you frequent anyway...

It is official, apparently, Hard Hero is done with the ThunderCats line, and possibly out of business altogether

RE: Refund of Deposit for Mumm-Ra AP

We are enclosing a refund check for the deposit paid on your pre-order of the Mumm-ra statue.

Due to the ongoing market conditions (with no improvement in sight) ,we have decided to cancel future production at this time. Many retailers are no longer offering collectible statues to their customers, while others have left the industry all together.

Thank you for your support and patronage over the last 14 years; we wish you and yours every success in the changing economy.

Best Regards,

Rob Potts

What a pity...But that was to be expected after all this lengthy silence. HH's Thundercats was a great line, faithful to the original and the statue quality was awesome, no doubt why so many fans supported it. Also, the price was affordable for most fans, unlike the PCS's Thundercats which are expensive and demand a large room.
It's still a mystery why HH is on a sinking ship and decided to stop the Thundercats. The line was going very well and the 4 characters were all sold out.
Anyway, for those of us who got them they should already be considered rare and precious.

I agree, except I would also add "incomplete" as we got Lion-O, Cheetara, and Tygra, but not Panthro. So the original core team is incomplete, and we got Ben-Gali but not Lynx-O or Pumyra from the new team.

P.S. May move these last few posts into the other thread about this development in the Classic Merchandise section.

Could the delay of Hard Hero's Mumm-Ra have something to do with the other Mumm-Ra's coming later this year? Icon Heroes has a Mumm-Ra the Ever Living Staction, Sideshow has the Mumm-Ra the Ever Living Premium... Do you think Hard Hero has delayed their Mumm-Ra to be able to better compete with the other companies? Just a thought...

I'll be having these words with a salad on the side... :D

Guess will have to wait for the MezCo SDCC exclusive to get our favorite broken-down bundle of bandages...
