Wow.. is that from the new series? The art is modern, but the whole costume is true to the original. I love it .

WOW!!!!!

*queen lynxana purrs with delight

If this is just a taste of what is to come, I can only wonder what is next. The artwork is fabulous and very true to the original. It combines the comic book style Lion-O to the cartoon style Lion-O. What a delicious treat!

Manny, please post more!

That is eye popping stuff. Wow... I am tingling all over.

Holy crap... what context was this in Manny? A poster of some kind... it's for the cartoon right?

You are an administrator to Manny....you two talk a lot....I'm sure the two of you speak on IM messengers....shake him down for more information and more pics!

I'm just kidding ;) I know we are all anxious to see more new Thundercats stuff.

Didn't mean to get your hopes up....that photo was taken from a large poster in the ActionFigureXpress booth. It doesn't relate to the new cartoon...but I wish it did!

It's sooo nice, isn't it?

I did however, get photos of Icon Heroes' Jackalman, Jaga, and ThunderClaw w/Lion-O statues as well as close-ups of Pop Culture Shock's Lion-O statue!

Let me tell you...it is BEAUTIFUL!!

I also got some snapshots of Tygra, Mumm-Ra, and Cheetara from the Hard Hero line.

Let me tell you that Cheetara looks AMAZING in-person! Her facial expression is true to the cartoon! I think they fixed it even more! The colors are great!

Trying to get everything up right now!!

I love you! ;)

Crazy indeed Manny! :)

You are doing a great job, Thanks for sharing!

The first picture of Lion-o belongs to Icon Heroe's advertising campaign,it certainly looks pretty awesome! They offer a free Thundercats magnet with each purchase of AFX Lion-o, the magnet photo is the same as the large poster. http://www.iconheroes.com/2010/07/free-thundercats-magnet-at-san-diego.html

Cheetara has been upgraded, she is so beautiful:liono , her face particularly is much improved, i can't wait to get hold of her! I hope the 27/7 is the final release date.

It beats me how come Jackalman is made to look so good and close to the cartoon in colour, design, expression and overall aesthetic appeal as opposed to the SDCC Lion-o who seems so far off from the original image of the show. Is it because each staction figure by Icon Heroes is commissioned (maybe) to a different sculptor? They should stick to a certain pattern while producing them.

I love how Jaga is portrayed without his helmet, it lays emphasis on the humanoid aspect of the character,. He is still in development but is he wielding the Sword of omens?

The close up shot of Pop Culture's Shock Lion-o is showing clearly the ferocity of this gigantic statue! Imagine placing Lion-o next to your door and a burglar tries to break into you house late at night...after catching a glimpse of this face, the poor man would pee in his pants and turn himself in willingly:shocked: Anyway, the statue has unique qualities and a rare beauty. With the light-up Sword will be even greater.

Ah.. I knew that shot looked familiar but couldn't remember where it came from. Well it's not from the series but still would make a cool poster.

So much ThunderCats coverage.. great going Manny .

Icon Heroes is doing good and bringing something unique with their line of products, I hope we get to see more of the ThunderCats members from them.

From all this coverage so far Tygra is my favourite and Cheetara has been improved a lot. Hard Hero is doing a splendid job with the line.

Can't wait!

Looking for a booth that sells the Hard Hero Lion-O. If I do, then we'll get a unboxing of that as well!

I just saw the pictures and I have to agree about Cheetara, the facial expression does look great. Glad to see Jackalman in the mix too.

What's wrong with Mumm-ra's hand! Its not pointing forward like all the rest of the pics we've seen. Can't seem to load Mumm-ra from hard hero site either. Hm. I hope it wasn't changed for breakage concerns.

GREAT coverage! Thanks Manny!

Chris here...

Just a heads-up that Manny just e-mailed me some more pics straight from the floor of SDCC, and they've now been added to our coverage page! :)

Hope you guys are enjoying these as much as I am - I'm so envious of Manny actually being there!! :)

Take care... :)

I have not been able to bring up the Mumm-Ra page since last night. I did E-mail Hard Hero about it in case no one there knew it was not working.

I agree, that new hand sculpt does not look as good to me. The first version had a hand that screamed ancient, undead, devil priest who's about to something that will make you need to get a clean pair of whitey-tighties...

This new hand sculpt looks like Casper's mellow great-grandpa greeting someone with a line like "Pleased to meet you".

HOWEVER, on second look (while adding pics below), it looks to me, they put his hand on wrong. The close-up of the new sculpt appears to reveal it is the same hand and arm, just rotated 90 degrees and at a different angle coming out of the robe.

LOL, yeah, he does look like a creepy grandfather with that pose. The original pose is much better looking.
