Yeah as far as the Mummra I agree; the original hand pose was great, the new one... not so much. There are even some slight changes in the facial expression that make a big difference. All around the original looks more menacing.

Not sure what's up with Mumm-ra's hand. Not inserted correct there. I'll speak with someone there. Maybe after that's corrected someone can put up another image.

Glad to know it's just a mistake and will be fixed soon.

Thanks guys, wow I thought I was the only one who noticed his hand like that I also found it odd that the site didn't have Mumm-Ra up there. Rob from Hard Hero has confirmed that Mumm-Ra was just assembled incorrectly and that they should be putting him back as he was intended soon.

He'll be back to his creepy ... reaching out spell making hand self shortly!

I'm loving the Jackalman statue! :) Always wanted to a cartoon accurate take on him ;)

Cheers Manny for all the great pics. Have you been having a good time?

As usual, I have some minor quips about some of these. Let's start w/ Tygra. Not sure if it is the lighting, or if it is actually painted that way, but why is his outfit dark and baby blue :confused::confused: In the original series it was a combination of a very light and slightly darker sea green. It looks fantastic, but it isn't show accurate. As usual though, they have the best re-creation of the emblem of any company past or present (even superior to the one on the sword of PCS Lion-O, but that one is also very wel done).

I also agree that the Mumm-Ra hand is just....he went from looking evil and imposing to looking like a Wal-Mart greeter with it stuck out there like he's going to shake your hand :p

Now onto PCS Lion-O. I had no intentions of spending money on one anyways so this criticism is rather empty, but I'm just not impressed with it at all. It isn't even the fangs (which I thought was a great touch. Not show accurate, but I can appreciate Wildstorm accurate), its the face, the fur-skin, the paint tone. It looked so much more promising unpainted. The only thing I find impressive about that piece is the sword which they did an incredible job on. I could go into more details but, I wouldn't pay 1/4 of what they want for that piece even if I were a statue guy. I think Hard Hero's depiction is quite a bit nicer personally.

I have to give Icon Heroes props though....they have recovered quite nicely from Lion-O with a really impressive looking Jackalman. He is spot on with his depiction in the show, his facial expression is perfect, and he doesn't have an awkward pose (that I can see anyways). What an improvement over Lion-O in that area. I guess I can cut them some slack as Lion-O was the first piece and they will improve as the line goes along. I hope they give Lion-O a second go around and correct what I feel is a flaw in the posing of the claw shield.

Overall, very impressive though. Glad to see Thundercats getting some love after 20+ years.

Now Manny, here's my BIG question.....any presence there for Bandai, and is there a pannel you can/are planning to attend to see if they have any Thundercats goodies or can shed some light on the new lines?

Grune, check out the link Spider listed. Rob confirmed the Mum-Ra arm was attached wrong. And he explained the color choice.
#27
I actually like them.......
#28
I got my mini statues! The guy said they were selling well!!
#29
I was so engrossed in Tygra, i didn't pay attention to Mumm-Ra's handsake! Rob confirmed its accidental mistake so the issue is solved.

I'm glad Icon Heroes is getting better statue by statue, the last Thunderclaw picture with Lion-o on top is great.

Hey Manny, since at the pic taken we can't see if Jaga is holding the sword at his right hand, could you please shed some light and let us know? Thanks

PCS Lion-o's hair is so anime-like! The Thundercats emblem on the sword seems somewhat compressed and squeezed, the sword however is magnificent.
We should keep in mind there is going be added a light up function on the sword, and maybe-maybe a light up eyes too... Imagine this roaring Cat radiating its mighty sword and flaming up his eyes!:liono

Jackalman's cartoon accuracy has taken all by surprise:slythe:. Finaly, one great -looking Mutant

Jaga is missing the Young Lion-o. Makes much more sense now. See pic.

Am I the only one that thought from the first glance of Jaga, to think it was Lynx-O till you look closely. Soon as I saw the hair on the bald head, then I knew it was Jaga. I guess it's the way they sculpted the beard. It's much longer than usual for Jaga. If you were to cut off the top of the pic, it looks like Lynx-O.

But the statue looks great.

Thanks fot your reply and pic Manny, appreciate it:liono

So Jaga aged, without his helmet will be depicted standing next to young Lion-o! this is a memorable represantation from the Exodus episode. It's not just a geat-looking staction but more important, a historic portrayal catching the exact moment of Jaga teaching Lion-o of his powerful heritage, right before mutants attack their ship, it's the first and only time we see the two charactes like that and i am so glad this epic scene is brought to life!

I'm lovin' all of it! Especially the illustration of Lion-O...it's the first modern rendition that's blown me away!

And Lion-O on the Thunderclaw!!!....SICK!!!!

Those of us 30+ yrs old have been waiting for this day for a long, LONG time!!! Guess good things do come to those who wait.
#35
I will deffo be getting these...

Jaga looks awesome!!!!!

out of interest Manny what size are vultureman/jaga as liono is supposed to be 6 inches but these two look alot bigger?

Also what size would you say the thunderclaw was and was there any mention of any release dates for these or the hard hero items like cheetara, mummra and tygra-it seems bengali is still aug/sept

thanks

Manny, anything from Bandai??? They have to have a panel and/or section there, I saw some new highly articulated Dragonball Z figs. Manny please find out what you can for the action figures.

Edit - here's a link to toyark's new DBZ line from Bandai with an image of Goku inside.

http://www.toyark.com/news/san-diego-comic-con-58/sdcc-2010-bandai-master-grade-figurerise-3071/

The articulation is very detailed and the figures are highly poseable. It is possibly a glimpse into what they could do for an adult collector's line for the 80's property.

The ThunderClaw was pretty cool. I hope Lion-O actually touches the seat of the vehicle tho; the prototype displayed showed Lion-O an inch above the seat, like he was sitting on air.

But the ThunderClaw size felt like a good proportion to the stactions. It wasn't oversized, but it wasn't too small either.

I think Icon Heroes needs to price these stactions at around $20-25 or these things won't sell.

No news on the Bandai. I spoke with one of the booth reps and he told me it was too early to show anything. He said we should get more information early next year.

The DBZ figures looked amazing in person though!

I think Icon Heroes after producing Jackalman,Jaga and Thunderclaw has really upped the ante,Lion-o however isn't on a par...

The price should be around 30$ max. as you mentioned Manny but i doubt about that, 60$ most likely and i think it's too expensive.

I would like to ask Manny, what are your impresssions on Pop Culture's Shock Lion-o? besides you are the only one who has seen it live.
Is it so huge as they say? standing tall at 32 inches, base to top of sword.
And the people passing by,did they approve it or not? Because many fans seem to express their enthusiasm as an achievement is Statue-making rather than a Lion-o represantation. :lionomad:

Agreed. $60 is too much. I won't be buying. I was hoping around $25-$30, which in that case I would buy.
