The video below is a bit more revealing, It also shows Jerry's new Statue from his famous Stret Fighter line, Sagat. He looks stunning.

Tygra's leotard (light blue) is fabric as well as the torso.

The exclusive probably will be only the extra head.I don't think there is going to be light up feature, but we'll have to wait for the full reveal by Jerry.

Also, my guess is that the price might be a bit lower, Jerry had even mentioned for this

A few more shots of Tygra at SDCC:

Might just be me, or the angles of the shots, but I have 2 issues with this Tygra:

Left arm looks off - forearm and shoulder look distorted
Torso looks too small for rest of body

aero, i think Tygra will be out of proportion to Lion-O and Mamm-ra. Judging by the pics he looks skinnier and smaller in size. Also the base is 1/4 of Lion-o's rock base.

What do you say for the extra head???
#25
If he is out of proportion, then it may be a deal-breaker for me. Having a series with each one being a different scale seems rather, um, bad. But I was not commenting on total size, rather proportions of the parts of this statue by itself. Tygra's arms and legs seem to be one scale and his torso appears to be a smaller scale. But his left shoulder and elbow seem to be smaller scale than the rest of that arm.

As for the head, I don't know. Personally, I was hoping for switch-out right hands with alternate whips. Maybe a whip like he has for one and either retracted (just handle with 3 beads at the end) or able to go around him like he is about to go invisible. That said, I do like the whip as is.

The thing I like about the EX Mumm-ra is that it is blatently obvious that the Sword is the EX item from any angle.

So for the PCS Thundercats fans who eagerly waited Jerry to shed some light on his next product, here we are, he answered my questions and the news are great guys!!!

Now that SDCC has ended and we have seen your marvelous pieces displayed there, here are a few questions to address whenever you have some free time Jerry:

1)So is Tygra your next Statue to be released???? Initially we expected Cheetara. If so, when is he going to be up for pre-order??

2)Tygra looks great and the sculpting does credit to Khurram's skills. Personally i am fond of his dynamic pose.
However, the pics make him look a bit smaller in size and less bulkier. The Rock base for instance is certainly smaller. The question is whether he is going to be in proportion to Lion-O&Mamm-ra or not?????

3)The Exclusive is only the extra head??? and what about the light up feature??? like the two previous Tcats had????

4)Any thoughts about dropping the price on Tygra???

Thank you Jerry and congrats once again for your works.

1) Tygra should go up for pre-order early August. Just going through final approvals.

2) Tygra is for sure in scale with Lion-O and Mumm Ra. He's just not as bulky. The rock base is smaller because he is stretched out and I dont want him to be taller than Lion-O and Mumm Ra

3) Exclusive might have a light-up feature but its proving difficult because of the design. So for now its only the extra head.

4) Price will be slightly less but the paint and costume on Tygra are far more complicated than either Lion-O or Mumm Ra so it balances out.

It's already up for quite some time now but for typical reasons let me update you guys that Jerry has his latest Thundercat from the OS up for pre-order at SSC's site!!

Both Ex. and Regular can be found in the link:
http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=9019061

a bit disappointed that the Ex. doesn't feature the light up function of the previous two. It was a great addition. Moreover the Ex. head doesn't remind me Tygra, i mean OK!!! for Lion-o the gnarling face worked out just fine borrowing the WS comic's cover but how often do you remember Tygra being portrayed like that in the OS????

The regular is great looking though.

A few shots, tell us what you think guys!

Nope... Doesnt do anything for me... I dont like the pose or the proportions, plus I already have the Hard Hero Tygra which is beautiful and good enough for this cat! :D

it looks likethe bad news have no end for the Thundercats....

The fans who pre-ordered PCS's Tygra should be receiving this email:

Dear Valued Thundercats Collectors:
''Thank you for your interest Sideshow Collectibles and for your pre-order of the Exclusive Tygra Statue, item ******.

Unfortunately we have been informed by Pop Culture Shock that they will not be producing this item. As such we had to cancel your order within your online account; however we will still keep you on an in house list so that you can be contacted with any updated information.

Please rest assured there will be no cancellation fees applied. We will be refunding your deposit or any additional payments back to the card on file. We will also be returning any Rewards Points or other discounts that may have been applied on this order to your Sideshow account.
''

and here is Jerry Macalusso's reply to this sudden turn of events concerning his Thundercats line:

''Well we did our part. We made an amazing Tygra statue. IMO the single best ThunderCats collectible ever.
But only a few ordered it. Less than 50% of the number we need to go into production.

Im truly sorry as i had high hopes for the ThunderCats line, but it seems that most fans only wanted Lion-O and Mumm-Ra.''

which unfortunately puts an end to the Thundercats Line....

This is the second company after Hard Hero who stops producing Thundercats...

I am very disaponted with this announcement, i beileve Jerry did miracled with Lion-o and Mamm-ra. Both amazing statues.

I am not a statue collector myself, but this is sad news...

That sucks. I had not ordered yet, was planning to after the holidays since it was scheduled for March of next year.

On the otherhand, I am glad they didn't do the same thing as Hard Hero and release 3 of the 4 main cats and a secondary cat then quit.

But to be honest, I still felt that this Tygra was too distorted. His left arm still does not look right in my opinion.

Another blow for the Thundercats, aero. The line was so much anticipated, i am taking you back a few months when the fans were overjoyed and craved for extra characters and the whole line to be made...but we only got Lion-O ans Mamm-ra...

I didn't order Tygra because i wasn't sure if i should opt for the Ex. or Reg. But i would certainly pre-order him later this year, besides he was supposed to come out in March...

Now Jerry has gone to the MOTU line and Heman, though not a fan, i hope things turn up better for this 80s revival than did with the cats...

If this line makes it to more than two, i would be officially jealous!!

So already has a replacement for the ThunderCat line? My pessimistic side begs to ask if maybe, just maybe there is a connection to a new line being added so quickly after a sudden loss of another line?

Well, aero honestly i don;t think that is the case.If he wanted to dump the cats for MOTU, then he would have originally aimed for HE-MAN. Besides Jerry has repeatedly commented on his passion for thundercats and he tried many times in the past to acquire the license and start churning out great statues!!

I believe Jerry did his best to hold on to Thundercats, i have personally communicated with he guy and he i can tell you he is a fan indeed, However, if these statues don't sell as predicted he has done the right thing to protect his investments.

For me this ''downfall'' encompassing every aspect of the Thundercats products, i mean look how much they cost the bandai MOC right now or the CLEARANCE'' is associated with the sudden cartoon's stop...

As far as I am concerned, that's no big deal. Apart from Mumm-ra (the only one I bought), they didn't look like the OS characters, so I wasn't interested anyway.
I was much more disappointed by HH's stop.
