5th piece from PCS line - Tygra

From a recent post on Statue Forum, Tygra appears to be the 5th in the line from Pop Culture Shock. Also, the line has apparently been "ramped up"; Cheetara, Panthro, and Tygra are scheduled to release at 2 month intervals.

Yes. And according to Jerry, Cheetara the third satue of the line will be released around September/Octomber. Also she will make it on SDCC this summer.

The 2 month intervals is good for the Cats bad for our pockets:mad:.

Am I the only one to think the face isn't that similar to the original Tygra ?

I had commented on the previous pic we got, that this Tygra looks to me identical to the Hard Hero Tygra but in Larger scale. Still, we have to wait for the full reveal to pass judgemement more accurately.

You're probably right, but, I don't know, maybe it's just the mouth or the eyes, but there's something that looks wrong to me, whereas I find the HH version very true to the OS Tygra.

The thing is, PCS first released a weird Lion-O, and then a much better Mumm-Ra, so I was feeling a bit apprehensive about the others. We'll see ...

Not to step on anyones toes here intentionally but to me, none of these PCS statues capture the likeness of the 80's Thundercats. They look like different people dressed up in the original Thundercat costumes and colors, not like the actual characters.

Don't you think Mumm-ra's statue does look like the OS character ?

Mummra comes close but I still think somethings off on his face like it's missing something.
What bothers me about Mummra is that he seems smaller than Lion-O in scale

I do understand your point about the size, but still, I was happy with Mumm-ra's face.
As I said a few months ago, now that HH is off, I thought PCS would get closer to the OS, but unfortunately I was wrong ... at least I will save money !

Yeah, sad about the hard hero line. They came the closest in terms of capturing the likenesses. I just wish we at least got Panthro in that line

Yeah, I would be ready to spend a lot of money to complete the HH line !

I do too think that HH and Paul Bennett's artistic/sculpting skills did cedit to the Thundercas saga and brought to us great statues, Tygra was amazing, their last piece, it's still a big mystery why they opted out, the line was successful and the fans supported it. Their Mammm-ra, mummified version was very anticipated and looked awesome.

Pnathro is the most neglected Thundercats member so far!! We still don't have any new product, mezco's version will be the first attempt

I don't like his face and that shade of orange.

Overall it's a beautiful piece, but I need to see more of the face. I won't buy it if it doesn't look like the Tygra I know.

I don't know if he will be the best Thundercats statue from PCS, we need to see more close up shots, but this is the most dynamic pose i've ever seen in a recent Thundercats product,hands down

- i see 2 heads, probably that's the Ex. instead of light up feature.

I like the pose a lot but that's not Tygra, that's Bob in Tygra's costume lol! His face looks like a Bob face, maybe a Hank. One other thing I'm not a fan of is his lankiness, or he just looks lanky from this angle. Almost going for a kung fu striking pose with that left hand there
