What level of crazy?!

What level of crazy does someone have to be to fantasize making the Joker in Batman their role model and walking into a crowded movie theater and open fire?! And then the guy, covered from head to toe in body armour, just peacefully surrenders to the police and tells them his apartment is totally wired to explode? This case makes no sense unless the guy is like crazed out on drugs or something.

I'm curious if this news story out of Aurora, Colorado, has hit the global news circuit or do those of you outside the U.S. have no idea what I'm talking about? Major news story here that happened at the midnight showing of the new release.

One of the victims was a six year old girl which is definitely tragic but I'm wondering the logic behind taking such a young child to that kind of movie. There is a reason it's rated R. And the sadness continues that her pregnant mother who was shot and is now paralyzed miscarried the baby.

Yes this awful tragic and mindless indident has pretty much hit the headlines all over the news in Europe at the very least. I've tried to stay clear of making comments about it as much as possible.

I just find the attitude towards guns and weapons in the USA extremely alarming. I stated that nothing will ever change unless gun laws are changed. The biggest eye opener is someone admitting to me that they carry a gun around for their own protection :eek: so I rest my case.

I really feel it for all the friends and family who have suffered from this :(
