The forum is abuzz with viewers!

Tis cool as I'll be online for a few hours ;) So can keep an eye on things no problem.

I knew this was gonna happen, which is why I was so forceful about the Skype meeting happening saturday! :D But I genuinely knew about London Toyfair happening (back from my days working at The Entertainer toy shop) but it's been years that I just totally forgot about it :( I just had drilled into my head this would be happening on 13th Feb in New York! ;)

So much for the relaunch happening before the new series news.....:D

Chris here...

This is GREAT! This is EXACTLY what this site was set up to do, to be the centre of ThunderCats news and knowledge on the Internet! And the fact that ThunderCats is now trending on Twitter...just wowsers, that's amazing!

Well done, everyone!

Take care... :)

Chris, culd you post the news article from the front page, onto the Facebook page? :)

Oh and I think we should be prepared for a cease and desist from WB/Bandai (those no photo signs were up for a reason...) I'm not saying it will happen, but if it does then the images should be taken down pronto! (the text info can obviously stay) So let's be prepared for that....lol

Hey Neil, I've already updated our Facebook page today, linking straight to the thread on the forums that the front page points to - social media is where it's at now, LOL! :)

Yes, the same thought had crossed my mind too - however, the only thing I'd say is that this has now "gone viral" across the Internet with many websites yanking the images from that thread and uploading them, so it would be very difficult for WB to track them all down. Nevertheless, yep, a "cease and desist" is quite possible and if it happens IMO we should learn from the movie script debacle and comply promptly - remember, they'd be within their legal rights as copyright holders to have this whole site taken offline! :(

Take care... :)

Yes, but might be a plan to also add it onto the page as well (including the images incase they have to be yanked off this site later) To be honest, to expect nobody to take pics is madness. They should have released an official press release with their own images to coincide with this unveiling

To be truthful, apart from the one image I've used (which I felt I had no choice about), I'm slightly uneasy about adding these pictures to the site proper (or anything affiliated with the site, such as our Facebook page), because of WB/Bandai and incurring their wrath...

At the moment these have been uploaded by a member of the general public and linked to on our forums, WB are surely going to know we're not going to tell him "No you can't reveal your exclusive news to us" - whereas, if we add the images to the site ourselves, we're then hosting those images (taken when the signs said "no photography") on our own site and server, which I'm uneasy about doing (I still maintain that the movie script uploading was a mistake, although I say that with the benefit of hindsight)...

Right now I think this has worked out well for us because although the news has been spread via our site (bringing traffic here), we haven't specifically uploaded them without permission, in fact all we've done to endorse it is posted on the front page that someone has information! ;)

I think WB are as likely to think that the genie has just popped out of the bottle now, as if they stifle this after all the news sites have picked this up, and after it's been trending on Twitter, if they try and bury this to add impact to a "big reveal" it's not really going to work because too many people have seen the images. They should be glad that their property is this "hot" and the fact that these images have leaked out just adds excitement. Then again, who's to say how the mind of a company like WB works? :)

And yes, I agree, pure madness to expect this to be open to members of the public and nobody to ignore the "no photos" sign, WB are definitely not the brightest bulb in the box!

Take care... :)

Yep I 100% agree with you. If we do get any comeback it be easy to remove the image links, but we still have all the discussion!

I think it would be a good idea to back up the forum database, just incase anything happens (forum traffic breaks it etc...) ;) I'd hate to lose all the posts :(

Chris here...

Think we'll get away without a cease & desist - looks like WB have decided to run with the publicity, and have rushed out a press release, complete with official image: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=30511 . :)

Take care... :)
