Wave 2 Updates?

Brian announced Wave 2 will be further delayed so they can make corrections. Super frustrating.

Yes isn't this the Mattel Factory's Screw up and now the figures need to be corrected so wave 2 is going to be delayed to fix what never should have happened. The Mattel Factory misassembled a lot of MOTUC figures when Mattel sold those. Roboto's shoulders reversed, King Hiss's Shoulders reversed, Frosta's forarms reversed, Stinkor's forarms reversed
and Mattel never had the figures corrected, at least Thundercats Ultimates wave 2 can be corrected even if it causes a longer delay.

I hate Mattel. First they cancel this line and now they do this. How much longer is this further delay going to take? There is no excuse for a Mattel factory to take this long. Have they ever actually gotten Thundercats right?

Today’s email suggests that Super7 is just as fed up with that factory as we are. They’re moving Wave 2 to the same factory they’ve used for Waves 3+, hence the further delay. [emoji37]

They will be because not only did Mattel mess up Thundercats for themselves and the fans, but also now for Super7. I'm not surprised they've moved wave 2 to their factory. It was quite clear that Mattel's factory couldn't be trusted with how long they took. They could have done wave 2 a lot faster. They treated Thundercats like crap first time around and they've done it again. How many more times are they going to slap fans in the face? I don't want Mattel anywhere near this franchise ever again. Super7 should have taken wave 2 to their factory sooner and just said "You're not doing what we've asked so hand wave 2 over to us. How can we trust you when you keep getting things wrong and delaying production?" I mean they clearly refused to just simply get on with it when they were supposed to. They've totally messed up the schedule for this line. No other line has had their schedule messed up to this extent.

Oh good glad they are taking it away from Mattel. I can deal with the added delay if it means the figures will be made correctly

True but now they will be made correctly. Yes it causes a further delay, but we will be getting waves 3 & 4 and then wave 2.

Yes, you have to question Mattel's attitude on this one. They've actually managed to burn us again. Why are they allowed to just go at whatever pace they want? They should have to at least try and stick to a schedule, where's the structure?

Yes, but it leaves a sour taste. I don't appreciate Mattel's disrespect. If people didn't buy toys, where would they be? Working with Mattel was clearly a mistake. They do this shit because they can, that's the reality. They don't give a shit and when people don't give a shit, it means they're in the wrong business.

It wouldn't be so bad if this was the first delay but thanks to Mattel, it's the latest of several. Nobody should have to wait over 2 years for a wave of figures because that is what it will be by the time we get it. Mattel deserves to sink. It's a rotting corpse covered in fruit flies. It seems to be full of incompetent piss-flaps.

They put the wrong right arm on Tygra and painted it over. Wrong like the test-shot they showed a while ago.
Blatant mistakes like this are unforgivable because Super7 were alerted in time, a waste.



Hope they release a booster pack with a new arm for Tygra.

You see, this is like a nightmare, having to get a booster pack again. How can one fanbase have so much bad luck? By law of averages it shouldn't be this bad. It makes me wonder who is actually involved in the production of these.

What I want to know is How do the factory workers NOT see that they misassembled the arms on Mumm-Ra and god only knows what else they screwed up in wave 2.
Now super7 is going to have to tool molds for wave 2 at their factory which is the biggest part of the delay, but at least they will turn out better than what Mattel did.

Nevermind Beadal's pictures as that was what the Mattel factory did. Super7 has taken wave 2 away from Mattel and will be remaking wave 2 at their factory.

Well exactly, it can't be excused. That is why I question their attitude. It seems more likely that they didn't care whether or not it came out right, realised it hadn't but thought "Oh well, doesn't matter, it's only toy collectors." I'm picking up on a slow, half-assed and half-baked work ethic when it came to this wave of figures. The fact that they were for another toy company probably meant that they cared even less. Super7 should cut all ties with Mattel after this.

Well if I was them, I'd be furious. They wait all that time for that factory/zoo to produce that wave and now they've got to re-make it themselves. I think that only wave 5 is going to be announced this year. Waves 6 and 7 probably won't be announced until next year now. I just hope that wave 5 is a good one. We could do with some good news.
