Brian did an interview with the Fwoosh and in it he stated he thinks Wave two will be shipping from the Mattel Factory sometime in January 2021 because if it doesn't the factories shut down for the month of February due to Chinese New Year. Waves 3 & 4 are being Made at Super7's Factory and those should be arriving in April & May

Ok, very cool! Thank you. I see some people are getting Turtles Wave 2 direct from Super7 so that’s a good sign that things are in motion.

Brian said to expect an update next week, with W2 almost done.

Super7 just sent out the following email, showing approved test shots and explaining the remaining production steps. Final delivery is being estimated as Spring 2021.

Tyra's trapezius muscles and hair sculpt still look terrible. Same with Pumyra's awful angry head sculpt.

I'm not a big fan of the angry heads either on most figures.

What’s odd to me is that when Lion-O’s angry face was revealed most folk also hated it. Once it got released I saw more photos of that face used as opposed to the regular one! While I use mine to represent the Mumm-Ra-disguised version from Thundercubs (I think that’s the episodes) and it works pretty brilliantly to show an angry Mumm-Ra in Lion-O’s form, I still like the regular one more and will use it for all my figures. I guess we’ll see how it translates to what the public prefers when in hand. I won’t use it but there seems to be a general approval of the more ferocious expressions.

Most people probably use the angry Lion-O head to show that its the Super 7 version. Regardless of the mess that was the Mattel Pumyra I can't imagine anyone wanting to use the alternate angry head on her. Pumyra never looke dlike that in the cartoon.
As bad as the Super 7 angry face sculpt is at least it's not as bad as the Mattel packaging art work. :roflmao

That's it. Someone who knows the cartoon really well could probably pinpoint a second expression that came from the cartoon or another famous media source. Even if it's slightly different.

Maybe we could get a poll going and see where people sit with the potential second heads? Ferocious second heads - yay or nay? Or something else? One idea I had was doing an updated LJN head, could be more popular than the ferocious looks. I don't know what most fans think, just speaking for myself, but I don't think we're in the minority.

Seen this on another forum, but Tygra's forearms are messed up. They now match and the band and elbow pad sit below the elbow.
Another great job as usual Super 7...sure people will be exstatic getting another incorrect figure and repair kit. :roflmao:whistle

Brian is aware of it and confirmed it would be fixed.

Tygra definitely looks off here and the Pumyra head on the body looks bad as well (the one unattached looks fine however). Whoever sculpted that hair on Tygra really misinterpreted his look.

Everything else looks good though. Disappointed these are behind, but hopefully the pace can pick up by the end of the year.

He confirmed Lion-O's belt peg and Jackalman's calves would also be corrected.... ;):laugh

I had noticed the trapezius muscles issue in the prototype, I made a small reduction when I shared those mock-up a year ago.

Tygra's correct right forearm was on Jaga figure when they displayed the accessories.

I actually like the 'open-mouthed' ferocious alternate heads rather than 'teeth-grin'. Would've been nice if Lion-O's alternate head is open-mouthed too, and that's my tiny disappointment to that Wave.
