I see what you’re saying. I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out. It doesn’t bug me but I’m sure it will bother others who prefer it closer to the source material.

Got an email last night saying they’ll arrive in 10 days!!!

It would annoy me if I had bought it.:laugh
This is why I don't buy any pre-order toys.

You have a point there. It's difficult though because if they're perfect you can end up paying much more on the aftermarket.

It depends on your definition of perfect. But to me having no quality control or design/engineering issues and looking like it should would make it perfect enough.
No company should be selling defective toys or toys that do not match the pre-orders customers bought.
Panthro's trunks being the wrong colour is a pretty major issue. It's not accurate to the cartoon or LJN toy. But maybe those are just production samples ToyBro got and the regular figures will not have that issue.
Then again it wouldn't be the first time Super7 messed up the colours. Brown hair He-Man and near neon green Tri-Klops. :roflmao

Agreed. What gets me is that with regards to Panthro's trunks and Jackalman's neck paint, Mattel already did it correctly. They changed those things and made it worse. And the swapped shins, of course.

Assuming these errors show up on the final production samples, this is very disappointing.

Kinda excited for this wave to be done and over with since this is just "re-issues" really so that we can focus on wave 2 in which for the very first time in a long time that we are getting new characters for the line.

Exciting time to be a Thundercats fan
(not as exciting as MOTU which Mattel is currently all out on it) but Thundercats' presence is definitely here with the toys and the CN cartoon show.

I will compile here my Lion-O Super7 notes that I shared on other forums.

Lion-O is the only figure with the MOTU Classics buck that has the central pieces, abdomen and crotch with a different proportion, are shorter, this issue affects the overall figure proportion, it makes it look very odd, also the abdomen has very pronounced and unaesthetic gaps on both sides. If we see it together with another figure correctly solved the issue is evident.

The prototype doesn't have that problems, Super7 had to make new tooling with those and not use the ones from Mattel, I think that was the reason that all the old issues were repeated now.

Do the head swapping exercise and you will see Lion-O's proportions greatly improve.

The difference is more evident in the back, there we can see how shorter that piece is.

I put Lion-O's head on Jackalman's body and the improvement is incredible, he looks almost perfect proportions.

The Four Horsemen prototype has a correct proportion, little more taller than Jackalman, as you can see in the photos.

I think Mattel screwed it up on tooling development and Super7 made the mistake of using the same molds. If they had done the job right from the start, we wouldn't have the same issue again.

I would only comment that you are assuming like many others that they used the same molds. Until S7 confirms it this is just your assumption although in hindsight it does seem correct. Let’s wait for them to confirm this instead.
The one thing I do like to remind people about is the subscript on all orders - the fact that these are PROTOTYPES and that they WILL differ from the final product. When you go back to the original prototypes you will see L, J and P had pins in their legs. The arms though didn’t. I won’t go making snap judgements just yet until we hear why and what the plan was. S7 always say “Final version may vary” so let’s give them the chance to confirm these before just assuming that which we wanted to get.
I will agree though the pants of P and shoulders of J are not as per advertised, and while it is not a dealbreaker for me personally, I understand the unhappiness some fans have. Somebody on another site said S7 have an announcement on the factory mistakes so let’s wait and see.

There're qualities that are observed overall Super7 figures with the Classics buck, if you want I can share more images, these qualities aren't present in the ThunderCats S7 figures, they are basically an exact copy of what Mattel made. Added to the issues repetition, it's 99% certain that they used the same tooling.
Of course, there're little things that can change in the transfer, regarding colors perhaps, but not structural nor design, that's why I posted the Skeletor prototype image and the final figure correctly resolved, like 100% of the Classics figures in that area, but not in Lion-O. Please note, there is no reason for those horrible gaps to be there and there is no reason for them to be there now again if Super7 had made new tooling.

Wow, the head switch really shows how much better the proportions could have looked, the stunted look of the Matty figure has bugged me since I got it. I think we know that given the option of re-using an existing mold and making a new one which one they will have gone for. Looking at the Skeletor comparison I think they could have greatly improved the look by giving slightly longer thighs.

Believe it or not, the thighs are of same size. What makes the difference are the middle parts (crotch, abs) and the boots.

The angle must be different between the pictures of the figures then, since the figure look to line up from foot to knee, but the thigh is noticeably shorter. I looked in PS and if Lion-O is aligned with Skeletor at the crotch he is of comparable height.

Right dude, the image only helps to compare overall features, the photo angles is a little different and it's difficult to align them exactly. Lion-O and Skeletor has the standard thigh of any Classics, you can measure and compare it.

Super7 shared a video about what Ultimates! are. The new Mumm-Ra is featured. Check it out.

I noticed on Super7’s last Instagram post someone asked when the wave 1 figures would be shipping and Brian replied “any day now”...this was three days ago so they must be shipping them “as is.”

Also, lots were mentioning not getting their Turtles from BBTS and Brian said BBTS had been sent their stock to ship. Apparently BBTS claims they do not have Turtles figures yet to ship. Does anyone know if BBTS are slow to ship or something or not reliable? This is my first time ordering a Super7 product and using BBTS.

I wouldn’t worry about BBTS. They’re very reliable. Sometimes they ship fast, sometimes slow. But you can rest assured.

BBTS is very reliable - they are not always lightning fast anymore though. Just be patient - I ordered mine there too.

Any further word on the Panthro error?

Not yet, no. Hopefully soon.
