I had a blast reading the interview as well as watching Toy Bro's Lion-O review.

Ok, looking at Panthro in those interview pics, his shorts are the right color. Hand coloring is still iffy but that was my big concern.

This "interview" really wasn't necessary. Lets just get to the point.
A reviewer said harsh things about the TMNT figures. ToyBro and other complained about the reviews on Twitter. Super7 sent ToyBro free figures to review and say lots of good things about and to not criticize any obvious issues so no more orders would get cancelled and they can continue to sell pre-orders for their Ultimates line.
ToyBro's "reviews" are nothing more than paid promotion by Super7.
Enjoyed the interview. Thanks for sharing.
I noticed that exclamation point for the "Ultimates!" line. So i guess that is how it should be called properly.
I can't wait to have mine.
Great work Super7 and thanks to Toy Bro for the quick video review.[emoji106]

The Mumm-Ra interview is now up.
@thezaxfactor should we group them all in this thread?

Cool. Mumm-Ra is awesome too.
As much as I wanted a similar box like Mattel did, this Super7 box is better.
Excited for this wave and the coming waves.[emoji106]

The "Brain Flynn" YouTube account which ToyBro and Rick's Nerd Life claims is the actual Brain Flynn's made a comment on the Lion-O video regarding the face paint issue.
"I will add this comment up here at the top so everyone can see it, but not sure why his figure has the dots on the chin. None of our other samples have that, and if for any reason you receive one that looks like that, we would replace it. That wouldn't be acceptable for anyone."
When the owner of the company is acknowledging a quality control issue that the reviewer failed to mention it really brings his opinion into question.
It also shows how much care Super7 take when selecting samples they know are going to be reviewed. Nothing new for them though, just look at the RetroBlasting Planet of the Apes video.
I wonder if that Brian will also mention the lighter blue on Panthro's trunks, the light blue of Mumm-Ra's face or the reversed calves on Jackalman?
So you either have a company that really doesn't care about the quality of the product they are selling or a reviewer more interested doing good promotion work for the toys so the line continues and he gets more toys.

Well, hopefully, that means that the actual "production samples" will be better, but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point.
I don't think I'm too picky when it comes to figures. I can deal with a lot of the issues that have been pointed out, such as Jackalman's height or Lion-O's torso.
But the reviews thus far are disappointing. There are some notable errors (Panthro's trunks, the lack of white paint on Jackalman's neck, and of course, the swapped shins that were supposed to have been corrected). And these errors actually make the Mattel figures I already have better, even though I'm willing to double-dip.
What's more, Flynn wants us to pay $45 per figure (~40% increase?), especially in these times. The T-Cats fandom is loyal. I want to give him my support. And I don't think the figures need to be perfect. But man, at least cut down on some of the obvious/unforced errors. He should try a little harder to give us a reason to keep supporting the line.

You pretty much nailed it. Fingers crossed these issues are fixed but very doubtful at this point. Panthro bothers me the most.

I'm still glad we're getting anything Thundercats but i have to agree that Panthro shorts issue should never have happened and especially not on a production samples and I to noticed that the reviewer ignored the spotty chin on lion-o.
You need to have constructively critical reviewers as well as the forever happy ones.

It's really strange they messed up the Thundercats figures. Their Ren & Stimpy figures look amazing and accurate to the cartoon.

This Toy Bro guy is a lot more forgiving in his review than I would have been. The mental gymnastics required to excuse all but the most glaring of defects is incredible, but I suppose that's a way of making sure he still gets things sent to review in the future. Comments like the figures aren't meant to look like the cartoon, Jackalman is tall as he's influenced by the 2011 show, etc. At this rate I'm expecting Tygra to be blue like the original promo pic and this guy will say it looks great, not show accurate but consistent with the rest of the line.
