TRU Exclusive Press Release

Neil and Chris please check your respective emails for a press release i have just received about TRU exclusives.

Also can one of you post it on the front page???

Thanks...i didnt know it was also sent to you since i only saw my name on the "To:" portion.

I was actually going to post it myself but since i havent posted anything on the front page i was a little worried i would mess something.


I'll try next time...worst that can happen is that it needs to be deleted and re-done

Yep give it a go!

I just copied and pasted the press release and then uploaded the images via the 'set featured image' link. In that interface, it allows you to insert the thumbnails of the larger image into the news post.

Like you say, it can always be edited later. The main thing is getting news up straight away!

and I think the PR company are sending the emails to all 3 of us, however if Chris didn't get it direct that would be interesting...could MannyR have been confused with MannyF? :D

Funny because that thought crossed my mind. It would be funny if he's not getting some of the press releases we are getting and can only resort to copying others

Yeah, updating the front page is very easy thanks to WordPress, which IMO is where the software really starts to come into its own. The trickiest part is getting it so that the news story adds itself to the rotating news story container at the top of the page (hopefully you guys know which bit I mean, LOL!) - it took me several attempts to get this right but thanks to Neil and (in fairness) MannyF I now seem to have the hang of it! :)

Yep, I never received this directly, so I reckon they are confusing their Manny's...which is awesome! :D
