I was coming here to post this myself! :) I agree with you about the price. It is way too high. But there is quite a bit of stuff included in the lot. The Clay sculpture, the wax sculpture, all the silicone molds for the figure including the molds for the Axe. I don't know what the "right" price would be for all of these one-of-a-kind items but it would be significantly high. Still, I don't think I could afford to pay 65 grand in ten lifetimes! The seller mentioned in the description that he bought it directly from the original sculptor, whose name he did not mention. :)

It is indeed a wonderful piece of history, but at that price.. I dunno.. You could never re-sell it for more so you'd have to be madly in love with these to pay 65K. It is great though, it's pretty much everything you need to start production all-over again :)

If memory serves, the sculptor is a guy called Bert Brooks.

Wonderful piece. LJN had some great sculptors work for them back then. The sculpt work on some of the mutants and villains was amazing.

Luna Lasher is really cool. I always remember the first time I seen it on the cover of an Action Toys catalogue in 1999.

Just put it in on your watch list along with something else then say ''oh no I clicked buy/bid/offer on the wrong item and won it''. ;) :)

Wow, that truly is s piece of Thundercats history! It would be great to be able to afford it. It would be great if whoever bought it would be willing to share some scans.

That would be awesome. But some collectors would rather keep it to themselves in case it would detract from the value of them.
I am sure Starr would want the images to be enjoyed by the fans of the show he helped create. :D
