Cool. Let's just hope the people associated with the Combiner Wars cartoon have nothing to do with it. It was the worst TF series ever!

Not familiar with that particular series, fortunately! ;) The article states that these animated movies will slot into the continuity that's been built up by the live action movies. So I'm guessing it will work like the "Clone Wars" animated TV series. I'm not sure it's such a good idea for Transformers though especially design-wise. The movie robots (most of whom were just metallic gray), might not look very attractive in an animated medium. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I read about the new Transformers animated movie. It'll be the first one since 1986's Transformers: The Movie.
