Cool - the reason why I ask is because (whilst obviously this is your call) I'm thinking perhaps the mini's should be in their own area (separate from the LJN stuff) within the Toy Section of the new site - i.e., if you check out the site and hover over the menu bar you'll see there's a section prepared for the forthcoming Bandai toys and a section for everything to do with LJN... :)

In yours & Neil's expert opinions, should the mini-figures be part of the LJN section or should they have a "mini-figures" section all of their own? :)

Im sorry the minis were not LJN but rather Kidworks made them as well as some other foreign companies. Matt wrote an article for the minis that can be used and it is located under his directory. If you can make a main page with that article and the templates then we can perhaps get that started. My best guess is to make a section for minis only since they dont technically fall under LJN. Perhaps the section could be under toys but be under Kidworks and foreign mini figures that way everything can be included.

I think we should perhaps use basic info such as name, company who made them and origin of the figure (i.e. Venezuela, USA, Korea, etc.)

I wouldnt know what other description to use so something basic should work for now

One more thing to add is that you can make a section that says Kidworks and Foreign Mini Figures that way we can put everything there. Basic info that can be included in the template could be:

Picture, Name of the character, company who made them and origin of the figure (i.e. Venezuela, USA, Korea, etc.)

I wouldnt know what description to give them but perhaps you should add a bullet for description to add in the future.

Yep, it all sounds good to me! :) I had spoken to Matt about this as well and he told me he was up for providing some input where needed - I must confess my own knowledge about these figures is practically nil, which is embarrassing because I actually own about 8 of them, LOL! :D

I'm gonna upload the content from the old Randy's Thundercats Toy Site as that has some good info on some of the Mini's and might prove useful in what info to write on each page. I'll stick it under 'Minis' in my staff folder ;)

All uploaded what I have. I haven't looked through Matt's work yet, but Andrew's pages are similiar to what we did with each figure on the LJN guide....so aside from correcting some of Andrew's typos, it could possibly be as simple as copy and paste with the writing side of things ;)

Thanks Neil...Ill have a look at it. It will probably take me some time to edit the minis because they havent been edited yet but that shouldnt take too long. Once thats done I will need them watermarked as well...

Great Neil...those descriptions can be used for the minis IMO

Cool..Ive added these to my first post of complete pages

Well was gonna get those last 4 figures that needed doing done, but can't get into the add new page on Wordpress :( Keep getting some error message that says there has been a fatal error......

Is it just me or is this thing sometimes slow and temperamental for others?

It is very slow and temperamental...I thought it was my connection but it seems to happen in other places ive tried as well.

It is sometimes for me, especially in Firefox - works best for me in Safari (for Windows)... :(

Ive begun editing some minis and did one with watermark as a trial. What do you all think

Sorry for the lack of Toy Section updates on my part, BTW, I rather dropped the ball over Christmas! :oops: I've not forgotten about the first weekend of February deadline and intend to get back to work on the site this week - if you guys want to jog my memory about anything you particularly want doing (template creation, etc.) and I'll jump on it ASAP! :)

Its allright Chris...i think many of us were very busy during Christmas. If you can put together a template for the minis (I believe I posted on this thread the information that should go on it) and perhaps a very simple template for merchandise with info such as name of the item, company that made it, description and country of origin (as well as area for picture of course).

I believe with the templates for both minis and merchandise I could put a nice dent into both areas before the relaunch. This would give us two new areas to launch and the Merchandise area can finally go live

Thanks Chris...Ive already started the editing process for both the minis and merchandise sections.

I have enough minis edited to get the section started and the merchandise section should have enough to get started as well
