Took S7 long enough. Looks like Ghost Jaga is gonna be a reality

I for one am super excited for it. I hope it’s an already produced figure and not a pre-order.

Oh, it's a preorder of a 1-year (?) promised interval release. Looks like it's only gonna be a Super7 exclusive? Meaning straight-up pay immediately. BBTS and EE hasn't offered a preorder.

This ghost Jaga figure is a little translucent compared to the invisible Tygra which looks like a somewhat glass-like transparent (but I'm holding ordering that up until they actually gonna show me the production/pre-ship boarded sample to convince the quality).

I should've chosen this instead of the Wave 3 one. I was so used to Jaga being a ghost than alive. The one annoying thing I can't flex in the Wave 3 was I can't fully wrap Jaga's cloth cape to cover his body full.

I haven't had a straight-up pay preorder from Super7 since MOTU. I wonder if it's worth it?

The positive: they've lowered direct shipping prices substantially. Only showing $5 for me.

The negative: this version has a sculpted on, single episode appearance belt which makes it not the definitive Spirit Jaga.

It's odd they made this figure so episide specific instead of the stanfard look in the majority of episodes.

What's even more frustrating is that in Ghost Warrior, he's normally coloured when he has the belt and sword, not astral blue like most of the episodes. They also missed the shoulder armour from that look.

Yeah. They missed the armor on his shoulder. His sides are also black in most shots from The Ghost Warrior.


It appears they did a Google Image Search for "Jaga Ghost Warrior" and pulled up an animation error from "Mumm-Ra Lives, Part 1" where Jaga appears in blue with the belt and no armor. The look they did is an animation error from a completely different episode.

The belt doesn't bother me in the least. I'm just happy to be getting Ghost Jaga. I just wish I didn't have to buy it directly from Super 7.

I would prefer a Spirit Jaga as how he appeared in most episodes.
If they at least included his scale mail shoulder armour and made it in colour to be be accurate to the Ghost Warror episode it would look a lot better.
Super7 have had the Thundercats licence since 2019 and they still refuse to run these figure designs by someone with some actual knowledge of the show.

Yeah that one. This is the only shot in the episode where he appears in his translucent blue look, and in the uncropped full image he has no belt. He's blue for 3 seconds of the episode and it doesn't match the render of the Super7 figure.



As Lio Convoy suggested a while back, the regular release should have had the additions from the Ghost Warrior and the Astral version should have them removed to match how he looked thoughout the show.
