According to the stats, the visits we got were:

24th January: 1122
25th January: 2989
26th January: 5053
27th January: 2733

These stats must be unique visits, as looking at the stats for yesterday, we got 2048, yet Google says we got nearly 6000 page impressions. So the HM stats must definately be unique visits.

Just updated the finances post, with updated totals for Amazon and Google Ads. I've also added the expenditure for the SDCC exclusive Lion-O, but the site will likely get this back from my own money (guess it depends on how we deal out the toys?)

I'd be happy with just the SDCC Lion-O and then perhaps Manny and Chris can share the 2 Classics and the 4' set equally? It should amount to roughly a $50 value of toys each:)

The first few sales are starting to show up from the Amazon US link we have on the forums. I would suggest we place one on the main page perhaps with a small message saying that all buys made using the link help support TCL. Here is the latest stats and theyre not bad at all. The amounts should be showing up soon

The stats below are year to date (and also quarter to date) so all the revenue has been for just over 1 month. The front site gets more exposure I think so we should also set up a link in the front as soon as possible with a short message that says that all purchases from the link help TCL. Ive updated the first post with the amount

 I hoped for the odd sale to build up over the next few months with Amazon.com at best. $16.38 in just a couple of days is freaking amazing! :D

As for the exposure, the forums get the most hits so we have the main base covered already. Truth be told I don't think we would have got even half that from the ad being on the front page alone.

However I think the plan was for an ad on the front page too, which I'm waiting on Chris to make. How's that going Chris? :)

As soon as I get the finalised earnings for July from Google (around the 7th) I'll update the totals for Amazon UK and Google Ads :)

Im not seeing Google ads anymore on the front page and on the forums. Did we get rid of those???
#26
They are still showing for me

On the forum, there should be one on top right (at the side of the amazon ad) and one right at the bottom of the forum on the left.

The front page has one underneath the 'Hear the Roar ThunderCats Guide' Amazon UK ad.

If they are not showing let me know!

Chris here...

They're still showing for me...?

Re: the front page Amazon ad, thanks for reminding me about that, I'll freely confess it had slipped my mind! :duh:

I'll jump on that ASAP, we've also been offered a free full-page ad in the ThunderCon brochure which I've got to get completed by Monday so if I'm truthful I'd think the front page Amazon ad would likely be after Monday. :)

Take care... :)

You mean they will have ThunderCatsLair advertised on the Thundercon brochure????

The Google ad must be blocked by my work since i can see it at home

Yep I think the Thunder-Con ad should be the main priority, as that will give us a lot of exposure! We could always put an Amazon generated ad up in the meantime ;)

Do you have any ideas how your designing the ad? It's such a shame we don't have Kyle on board anymore to make a kick ass promo ad :(

Yeah, Kyle would have come up with something amazing, sadly he's away at the moment so even if he had the time he wouldn't be able to get this done by Monday! :(

I plan to use our logo as that features Kyle's artwork - I have many ideas buzzing around my head so hopefully these will manifest themselves into something cool! :)

Take care... :)

I'm sure you will do a great job ;)

and thread has been updated as Google verified our July earnings today. £23.60 from those ads is truly amazing!

Once we get paid by Google (when we hit £60 or more) I think I'm gonna renew hosting for 2 years (as we save $24 and I doubt we will want to move hosts) Prices also may go up (with the economy like it is!) so we might as well lock the hosting in before prices go up again!

I'll also feel better knowing that we won't have worries about hosting cost for another 2 years and then revenue collected from then on, can then go into site upgrades and maintenance! :)

Looks like the Amazon revenues keep going up...and now are total is over $24 with a few items still to ship so we should be getting a few more dollars

So it looks like so far we would be getting $24.79 in fees so far. Ive also just placed an order for a few things for my wife (and myself) which will also net us 6% of $264.97 or approximately $15.90 extra. There are some items that people have ordered which have not shipped so we should break the $40 mark very soon

Ive updated the first post with the latest totals for Amazon...the overall totals I did not update

That's great news Manny! :) What is the payment threshold at Amazon.com before they pay you? I know at Amazon UK it's £25/$41 (for direct deposit)

This is quoted directly from Amazon.com:

We will pay you advertising fees on a monthly basis for Qualifying Purchases shipped, streamed, or downloaded (as applicable) in a given month, subject to any applicable withholding or deduction described below. We will pay you approximately 60 days following the end of each calendar month using the payment method you choose from the following available options. If you have not selected one of the payment methods below, we will withhold any unpaid accrued advertising fees until you have done so. (a) Payment by Direct Deposit. If you select payment by direct deposit, we will directly deposit the advertising fees you earn into the bank account you designate, but may accrue and withhold advertising fees until the total amount due to you is at least $10. If you select this method of payment, you must provide us with the name of your bank, the bank account type, the 9-digit routing number/ABA number, the account number, and the name of the primary account holder as it appears on the account.

It looks like they will pay us after we reach $10 but the payment doesnt go through until 60 days after the notification

That's much better than Amazon UK then! :o Though like I said with combining all the links into the one account, it helps us reach the threshold faster.

Chris here...

This is all fantastic stuff, guys!

Re: the hosting, I 100% agree, I'd say get the hosting for 2 years, then we've got the security from that! :)

Take care... :)

Ok guys it looks like a few more sales went through and so far the earnings we should getting once the payment gets sent should be over $50.

Totals as of yesterday are $50.29

Right now we receive 6.5% of every item sold and shipped

Neil...can you update the amounts on the first post to include this update??? Thanks man

Merged Post:
New total as of yesterday: $58.27

All updated. Once we get paid, I believe we will have enough 'NET' revenue to pay for 2 years of hosting! :)

I think we will get payment from Google around October, so I'll probably renew the hosting then, or as soon as the money is in my bank account.

Then after that, it's up to you guys what we spend any future proceeds on... fingers crossed BBTS renew their deal! Then we are all set to cover the new toys easily.

Then all cash renew can be spent on any site upgrades that are needed.

Just updated the top post.

Hosting renewal for 2 years is $228.96 so if we collect all the monies posted in the top thread, we are then good to go with 2 years hosting sorted

In all honesty, without meaning to be a 'downer' I think this will pretty much cover the ThunderCats 201x relaunch, as it will take us up to February 2014! So at least during our busiest period Hostmonster won't be able to charge us more if we have hosting already locked down ;) Hopefully we can purchase the hosting as soon as Adsense pay us.

Next job will be to decide what to do with revenue earned after this! lol

Ok guys ireceived an email from Amazon last week stating that we did not earn any referral fees for the period. Me thinks it is because the payment was for all fees accrued up until the end of June. Here is the email:
Dear Amazon Associate,

We have just sent payments to eligible Associates for the advertising fees earned in the program during the month of June 2011.

You did not earn any advertising fees during the last payment period. We have credited your previous balance to your account for a future payment. You can view your current balance in Associates Central under Account Settings > View your payment history at
https://associates.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/your-account/payment-history.htmlIn any case our totals so far which should be sent out towards the end of September (perhaps October) will be $79.56

Looks like they only send payments at the end of each quarter so the next payment should be at the end of September

In any case not bad for referrals. Also would it be a bad idea to post on the forums a Thank You to the forums members who have been supporting the site by buying through the link on the forums. We dont have to post totals if you guys dont want but at least posting a thank you would encoruage more folks by ordering through that link.
