I want to share with you guys my Christmas present, which has arrived and it's none else than Lion-o EX. AP!! Yeah, i am pretty excited for owing this piece signed straight from the creator Jerry Macaluso.
Even though i already have the standard Lion-O, EX(215/275) I wanted badly to acquire this limited AP and add him to the rest of my Lion-o rarities, i don't plan on buying any other AP Statue in the future, especially these huge and expensive PF Statues and if it was to own a special AP, that had to be only Lion-O! besides i have a strong penchant and tradition for the Lord Of the Thundercats which goes way back in time!!

I don't know if fans fom the TCL Forum are generally interested in collecting Statues and limited AP pieces but my opinion is that there isn't any substantial difference between AP and Regular editions(we were discussing this issue on the Statue Forum).
Perhaps, the AP Lion-o is a bit better as far the paint appliance is concerned in certain difficult spots like edges or hard to reach points which demand detail and delicate treatment while painted. Also the real fabric cloth is very precisely knitted. Yet again, this is an insignificant detail for extremely condition sensitive collectors who inspect their pieces under a microscope. Personally, i am very content with both oif my Lion-Os and i haven't observed an imperfection which detracts from its overall eye appeal:thumbsup:.

It's number AP#3/10 and it looks pretty amazing.

Enjoy the Pics:

Lion-O freshly opened!!:

It's an honor to possess a unique piece personally signed by Jerry Macaluso:liono

Personally, i think this Lion-O represantation is the best so far.

Guys i've been reading on the Staue Forum about some recent damaged/flawed statues, Scorpion by PCS seems to have sustained 'Fatality' Wounds while on transit to the fans and the same goes for a few others, so have been wondering if you have had any issues with Lion-O and Mumm-ra from your order from SSC??

Yes it is very delicately made Statue, many Tcats fans dismissed as a 'Sabretooth'-looking Lion-O but overall it is outstanding.
Personally, i am fond of Lion-O's angry face.

Thank you Osbert. Prior to HH's and PCS' Thundercats statues i didn't own any Statue at all, i was never into this hobby.Generally, I admired the impressive collection the Statue fans had but didn't buy any.
Lion-O AP is my first statue. This signed piece personally by Jerry Macaluso and my AFA 90 Lion-O are the most valuable and treasured collectables, at least for me.It's a unique Statue indeed! I appreciate your kind comments.

So anyone has received a damaged/flawed Lion-O statue??
There is a lot of talk in the Statue forum concerning some problematic pieces which ended at the fans, i hope PCS eliminate these issues in the future.

Looks ace, congrats!

I really want to buy one but I don't have the space to display it just yet.

Thanks man, space is really an issue, i had to wait for a couple of years to move to a new house so as to find some room to display some of my pieces!Till then they were packed and stored.

Here is a pic of how they are displayed now:

I'd like to read your comments on the new Heman statue by POP Culture.
Comparing him to the Lion-O statue which was really great , what do you think?

Personally, i was neve in favour of the Heman cartoon neither the character.

The He-man statue looks like it is well crafted and detailed, but I am not a fan of the head/hair for some reason. I much prefer the Lion-O (although I will be the first to admit that I am a bit biased).
#14
The Lion-O and He-Man statues do look pretty similar.

Not crazy about the He-man statue. He seems too lean and the head and hair don't quite capture the cartoon likeness.

His pose is cartoon spot on but the face and sculpt has a simplistic form and dull feeling. I don't know, i think Lion-O is better by leaps and bounds. Even the fur Lion-o has adds a dynamism to the statue.
