Hi everyone,
I imagine some of you guys will have noticed a few technical glitches occurring on the site over the past day. Firstly we'd just like to assure all of you that this is nothing to worry about - in fact, the reason for the technical glitches is very exciting and the result of something we've been working on for a while! :)
As this site has grown it's become more and more difficult to add and manage new content, for a number of technical reasons - we're also aware that, since this site started up back in 2005, there's an urgent need on our site for new sections to cover material from the aborted ThunderCats movie, and the new animated series and toys! :)
You guys will probably have noticed that, aside from news and content related to the various statue lines, this site hasn't received an update since 2008. However, this doesn't mean that the team has been doing nothing, and what you're about to see is the result of our work - a new, relaunched, revamped www.thundercatslair.org! :)
This is something we've been working on for a very, very long time, and all of the team have spent a lot of their spare time transferring content - and, adding exciting NEW CONTENT to this as well! :) The new site will be powered by WordPress, and will be quicker for us to update with news, and easier and more flexible for us to add new sections and sub-sections as needed. :)
At the moment the site is offline whilst we iron out some of the technical bugs - however, the new version should unveil very soon! We're also still in the process of transferring material from the old site to the new and so you will find some content that's offline - don't worry, it won't be long before everything from the old site is back online! :)
Thanks everyone for all the support you've shown to ThunderCats Lair over its first 5 years - we're very excited about the future, and hope you'll all enjoy this new version of ThunderCats Lair as our favourite felines get set to roar into the hearts of a whole new generation! :)
