So oddly enough, of all the 80s cartoons I watched in my youth, Thundercats is the only one that got a "movie" (or long TV special. Whatever you want to call it, it was feature length) that I have never actually seen.

GI Joe the Movie? Saw it. Duck Tales the Movie? Saw it. Transformers the Movie? Who hasn't seen that. He-Man & She-Ra: Secret of the Sword? My brother and I watched it so many times, we broke the tape. The live action MOTU film? I can quote it verbatim. The live action TMNT film? It was the first movie I ever saw in theaters.

Even cartoons I wasn't a big fan of, I've see the movies for: My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, Bravestarr, and all the Care Bears films. Heck, I even saw the Heathcliff movie, and that was just a lazy clip show.

But somehow, to this very day, I've never seen Thundercats Ho! The Movie.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen the five episodes that the movie was split up into. I think its safe to assume everybody that posts on this board has, but its weird that I never actually got to see the edited together full length feature that it was intended to be. But its not that surprising that I missed it considering it surprisingly never got a VHS release here in the states.

My biggest question for those that have seen it is what edits are made in the completed film? I'm sure scenes had to be cut for the sake of time. Its a no brainer to drop the opening credits, "Next time!" bumpers, and closing credits from the individual episodes. But what other significant changes are there, if any?

i dont consider that a movie as it was just a few episodes put to gather they called a movie also normally when they do a cartoon MOVIE its production and animation quality would go up there was no sign of that in this
