Started the print work on RedEye. Design is not finalized, and I didn't finish his gloves. I wasn't 100% on the best approach to articulation, and I wanted something this weekend so I did a very quick key job, and got some parts out. I did some dumb stuff too, like print him face down so the support structures mar the head, but this is where I want to make the mistakes.
This is simply awesome! It is still hard for me to believe sometimes that technology has come this far. Looking good!

Printed his arms and legs this morning and they came out great. So far the tallest print I've attempted. Hard to tell detail on the white resin, but once the primer goes on it will be pretty cool. I will also print the final at 4X the resolution.

I can tell your Red-Eye will be quite pleasing. ;)

Next step was cleaning up all support structures from the sculpt, sanding filling in pits and applying base coat. A light primer allowed me to see all the imperfections that were masked by the translucency of white resin. So another round of shaving with an X-acto knife.
Then I applied a thin coat of white Gesso. It dries translucent so I added a drop of red acrylic just to tint the flesh a little.
I will be using Oil paint in thin washes.
He will have a more grey/lavender flesh tone.

Some morning sculpting before work. LAST blockout for the lunatacs.
I think I might move onto finishing and printing her out next, I am interested in ordering some flexible resin for the cape just to see how that turns out.

I had a little free time this weekend, so I did a little work on Amok. Getting close to finishing the design on him. Shoulderpads need work. Some anatomy too.

Amok looks great! A little leaner than the original.

Thanks Adssse. So it is interesting that you mention that.. I was waging that battle in my head on how hefty I should make him. I'll make a turnaround video after work that will give a better sense of his mass.

I have no interest in the Lunatacks, thought they were all awfully designed, but this Amok looks pretty cool.
