Mumm-Ra the Everliving reporting from ThunderCatsNOW.com

Some good news for a change ThunderCats fans!

As many of you already know The Loyal Subjects scored a ThunderCats license from Warner Brothers late last year.
They're now ready to premiere their action vinyls at SDCC this year with exclusive variants of the upcoming ThunderCats line set to debut this fall.

Jonathan Cathey from The Loyal Subjects has released the following tease:
Glow in the Dark Variants - Lion-o, Cheetara, Panthro and Mumm-Ra!*
Lion-o (Regular edition) with Gold Claw Shield!*

UPDATE 7/14

The Loyal Subjects have released edition numbers, distribution times and pricing for their ThunderCats SDCC Exclusives.

To summarize: The ThunderCats will be offered single carded at $18.00 per figure and limited to 4 per customer. Each GITD (Glow in the Dark) ThunderCats figure/ Preview night Metallic Gold Claw Shield Lion-o will be limited to 264 pieces.

The foot bottoms may be stamped with edition numbers.
The "at show" reference on Pricing and Rules page suggests additional figures may be out there leading to the question if remaining quantity will end up online or in another forum. Update to come soon.

There will be 5 ThunderCats SDCC Exclusives this year:

WEDNESDAY 7/19
(PREVIEW NIGHT)

Lion-o Metallic (We believe it's claw shield only) - 7 PM

THURSDAY 7/20

Panthro GITD - 10 PM

FRIDAY 7/21

Cheetara GITD - 12 PM
Lion-o GITD - 6 PM

SATURDAY 7/22

Mumm-Ra GITD - 1 PM

I am not a fan of the whole blind box concept but I really like the look of these!

Say these sell on the website for the same prices as previous exclusives (about $16 each) - thats $80. Just did a dummy order for 5 of figures and they wanted $38 in shipping. Ouch.

I have to admit that they really look cool! I wonder if TLS will reveal their full lineup of wave 1 at SDCC tonight. Glad to see Tygra there too.

Good packaging. I'm really happy that The Loyal Subjects is using the Mezco/Bandai ThunderCats Classic logo instead of the Mattel version.

SDCC Exclusives are $18. Normal blind box ones (when they come out) should be at $12.99

The con versions are set to hit Hot Topic at some point in limited quantities so keep your eyes and ears open.

I heard someone saying that the SDCC Glow-in-the-Dark figures won't be available at retail. Instead they will only retail the normal figures and that too in blind boxes. Again, this is just something I heard so not sure how much of it is true.

TLS packaging looks a lot better than the Mattel figures. :)
