LOL, I think I'm becoming more blunt now that I'm old! ;)

Anyway on a positive note, I'm hoping to work on some new pages for the site in the next couple of months hopefully :)

Yep, I also have many plans for new content for the site - at the moment even though it doesn't look like it I'm still porting over content from the old site, but once that's done, there are quite a few things I want to add - I wish there were 48 hours in a day! :D

Totally off-topic, but as good a place to ask as any - did you guys ever get hold of the information, etc., from Lordore relating to the Cosmocats stuff? That would be an amazing addition to the Toy Section IMO, I'm sure I could whip up a template page for you to work your magic on - LMK! :)

Take care... :)

I really dont understand why Manny just up and left the way he did. I would understand if it was due to the lack of time or commitment to the site but to take on a brand new site is beyond me. My thought is that he's been working on the site for a long time already and my theory is that the periods where he was absent he was working on his site.

Either way his site is simply a news outlet and nothing else and I really do wish him the best of luck but his animosity towards us like he displayed before he left is just not fair.

Looks like he got himself his old buddy to work with...

I realise I'm being a bit out-of-line because I'm talking about him behind his back, but truthfully I've always had a problem figuring Manny out. I've often felt he had an agenda but have no idea what that agenda was / is, he's very secretive and doesn't say what he thinks. I don't necessarily think he's a bad person, but at the same time I've never, ever felt he was being totally straight with me. :(

His fixation with Celesta Krantz has always been a sore point with me - when she left the team she made a lot of remarks that I took offence to, including a couple of personal comments about me. MannyF has NEVER distanced himself from her comments even when I pushed him to do so, so by implication he actually agreed with her assessment that we're an amateurish, unprofessional site and that I'm a complete useless layabout who saddles other team members with my workload and ignores everyone else on the team...actually I think the last few months have proved quite the opposite scenario! ;)

I agree that his site has begun life as a news outlet but watch this space - I guarantee you that he's after setting up a site to take us on directly, I can see the signs. That's why I want to try and keep a steady stream of content coming and over the next few months I really want to keep us moving forward with the new TCats stuff that's coming out - not just because Manny brings out my competitive streak but because I don't want to surrender that real estate to another site. We've all of us worked bloody hard to make ThunderCats Lair the site on the Internet for ThunderCats information and I want to keep that reputation intact! :)

So yeah, actually Manny's done me a favour because he's given me the motivation to keep moving forward - I hope you guys will stick with me on this and help me where your spare time allows (I know for you in particular MannyC life is a bit crazy right now), this site means a lot to me and I'm determined to look after her! :)

Take care... :)

Chris...concerning the whole competitive side of things its funny because that is what came into my mind when Manny left and set up his own site. He'll try all he can to use whatever contacts he has to get one up on us but we must keep pushing. Unless he takes our content and uses it for his website then we really dont have to worry about not having THE best Thundercats site out there, and if he somehow just even thinks about taking the content we have then there will be all hell to pay. We have too much to offer and a one man site cant compete with what we have.

He's getting tons of news out now, its basically the same we are receiving and once that stops ThunderCatsNOW will be a quiet place.

This is really getting me down guys... :(

I had forged a good relationship with Mezco Toys and got an exclusive for our site. The other day I discovered that ThunderCatsNOW had got an exclusive of their own from Mezco, the first look at the SDCC Lion-O variant - whilst the press release did get to us, Manny had it 24 hours before us.

I e-mailed my contact at Mezco and asked if they had any more TCats news to share with us and my line of communication appears to have gone dead. :(

I've also been speaking to Pixel Dan of Pop Culture Network as to whether he would be interested in doing ThunderCats figure reviews co-produced with us, in the same way that his MOTU Classics reviews are done in association with He-Man.Org. Unfortunately, Manny's beaten me to that as well!

I really am at the end of my tether with this two-faced, manipulative little sh*t!

I could really do with your support here guys as this is really making me depressed - the whole situation is very unfair and Manny's behaviour is out-of-line IMO. He's basically trying to get one over on us at every opportunity, and I believe he's also trying to poison people against us. :(

So yeah, not in a great place right now, really need some support here gang! :(

Take care... :)

I knew this crap was going to happen and that Manny was going to turn on us to his advantage. Im not sure what his intention is right now since there really is no personal gain other than to make us look bad. I really dont know what else to do right now and both you (Chris and Neil) will have to tackle this somehow.

Best thing right now to do is confront Manny about it but Im afraid he will be too much of a chicken **** to admit that what he's doing is not good. He's essentially taken the contacts we had asa team and now is using them to his advantage so while he may not be taking actual existing content he is taking exclusive contacts that we had established already

Holy christ.

Well, I've only just found this thread. But I need to be up-front about something now that I've read it.

Manny contacted me yesterday re: some contacts for ThunderCon. I hadn't read anything of this thread since I've been finishing off college work and posting sparingly, so I wasn't aware he'd quit. I gave him an agent contact (without any real detail besides a name and an agency) but didn't give him anything else - mainly because I don't do that stuff, anyway, as I'm proud of my contact-gathering. But now that I'm reading this, I'm regretting doing that.

But listening to his podcast, he's also nabbed some of that soundtrack music that I've used a few times for podcasts and attached it onto his own. I don't know how - since it's not owned by lots of people, anyway - but I'm slightly narked by that. I've spoken to him and asked him to be careful with it, which he's agreed to. I don't quite want the crazy lady who gave it to me to have anymore ammunition to send me annoying emails (she wants stamps or something mad like that and I've never got round to it).

Not much we can do, though, besides move on. I don't think we should dwell on it. We're doing our own thing and have been for a while. Also means I don't have to contact him for those podcasts, since listening to his... I won't say anymore. Me and Chris make a great team and I'll work on some cool things for ThunderCast along with Chris. So it'll be as normal, hopefully.

Hey Nick, thanks for being honest about this. I'm not mad with you, but I am absolutely ****ing furious with Manny! Clearly what he's doing is taken on what Neil & I didn't, which is he's now signed his website up to be the fan consultant for the ThunderCats convention (ThunderCon). The ONLY reason he knows about that is because I passed on confidential information to him, one TCL team member to another.

So, what he's now doing is using your contact info, Nick, to try and make his own website look good. He clearly has no scruples here. Absolute scum of the earth.

Again, using the soundtrack music that you've ripped, Nick, for his own podcast is THEFT, and he really shouldn't be doing that! What a complete arsehole!

Nick, I think the best thing you & I can do is put our heads together and try and sort out some new multimedia content for the site. I know you're a very busy man, but one thing I'd like to try and develop is if you could use your persuasive powers and contacts to set up some new interviews with the new TCats cast and crew. :)

It's never been a priority until now because those folks would have been "gagged", but with the new show launching next month, I'd like us to try get ahead of the game with this. I can help with whatever I can, but you're the guy with the Midas Touch on this front - and, you've already interviewed two of the voice cast in Larry Kenney & Jim Meskimen! :)

So yeah, if we could work on this as a priority thing, I'd really love to once again work with you and get some positive energy going. :)

Take care... :)

These things happen. I'd give Mezco more time to reply. Its still in their interest to work with us as they need to sell these things!

How so? Is he really partnering with ThunderCatsNOW? :D If so good luck to him!

Well if people are stupid enough to fall for it, then more fool them! I'll see what I can do.....
