Thought it might be a good idea to start a post with some common things to look for regarding spam accounts. Or to ask about unusual things in profiles etc

One thing I noticed lately were profiles that list "Man" in the bio
Just strikes me as odd and possibly a red flag.

Also, some accounts look ok, or at least I'm unsure, until I google the web address in their email or link (I would advise against visiting an unknown site just cuz you don't know if it'll harm your computer, hence I use google to check how legit it might be)

Take http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=645&q=1yingxiao.com&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq="" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this for example...definitely spam, although it was more obvious by looking at it too lol

Of course having a non-toon related website or blog isn't a crime, but I do check them to see if google comes back with the above, or just to see if it has spam potential such as a forum or site that's trying to sell a service or product. Red flags.

Yes, I've ran across several spammers now that uploaded avatars. Kinda shattered my illusion that anyone who personalized their profile that much probably wouldn't be a spammer!

It's the first time since i've joined the Lair that i see in a daily basis so many Spammers 'attacking' us.

It's like the never ending battle between bad and evil. Thundercats VS Mumm-ra!!
