I believe there were two versions of Tygra's whip made and released. The sculpted handle was mostly included with the Young Tygra figure and some Old Tygra figures as well. A lot of the Old Tygra's released in the UK and those by Rainbow Toys had the simple straight plastic tube-like handle with the string tied in a knot at the bottom (like the one in your picture). :)

That's a cheap solution but if it's original... it's original :-)

Collector says he never really played with them, as he was more of a Star Wars and GI Joe guy (the later being what I traded in with him). I guess that explains the good condition of these figures, again except for the leg. He's located another Red eyed Tygra so I guess it's as good as it can be.

Thanks for the help none the less, I know it that not knowing wether I had an original weapon or not would have bugged the ancient spirits of evil out of me :-)

Just wanted to add to the discussion about the grading mistake. Since this issue was raised here, I have been taking a closer look at all the graded TCats toys that I came across online and I was surprised at how many of them are wrong!

"thunderianroyalguard" is absolutely right. I saw a bunch of LJN carded toys which were incorrectly graded as "LJN Rainbow Toys". One was even graded as "LYN Toys". :)

During this investigation of mine, I came across a Captain Cracker MOC which was 14 back. I found that rather peculiar as Cracker was part of the third wave of toys and was always packaged on a 22 back card (which actually featured Cracker himself!). Can anyone shed some light on this?
