Spammers getting clever...

Just deleted this post from our "Found some bugs in your site" thread on the Website Feedback forum...

Now, at first glance you'd have thought this was a "real" (if slightly poorly-constructed) post - the user had an avatar and everything. However, when I looked at their profile, the user had their bio listed as "Man" and their interests listed as "jennyk" (their username), which sounded alarm bells! :)

So, I went ahead and took the initiative, I deleted their post and banned them - just thought I'd flag this up as it seems the spammers are getting clever, had I not thought to look at their profile I wouldn't have pegged this for a spammer... :(

Thanks Chris. Yeah, some of them are pretty slick. Makes me wonder, if they didn't drop a link in the post, what their game plan is...but good on the ban cuz I don't want to find out lol!
