Hi gang,

First spammer I've seen for ages who's made it as far as posting in two threads: http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/member.php?u=24801 . :(

I'm wondering of some of the spam bots are now finding a way around the trivia question - maybe time to change it to a different one? :)

Take care... :)

Wouldn't be a bad idea. I haven't seen any spam posts lately, but if they're getting in, it won't be long.

I expected the odd one to slip through :( Ah well, still tons better than how it was!

Just keep an eye out.

Though maybe it's worth taking on another mod, as I'm having to approve a lot of posts and having another mod would help with this ;) We never did get a temp in for Lordore....

I looked into all the posts that had to be approved. It turns out that members that were part of that specific usergroup had to be approved. I changed it and now all posts within that usergroup are automatically approved. It will not make the spammer issue worst than what it is but rather make it easier on us since we wont have to approve them.

The occasional spammer will go through but i think the question before registering is working great. We can adjust as needed but right now it is working fine

I agree. If we start getting a group of spammers I'll just alter the trivia question again.
