Source of ThunderCats soundtrack MP3 album?

Years ago, I found these MP3 files for download, and quickly snatched them up. Now, I'd like to know where they originated, to see whether it's possible to get a 24-bit FLAC remaster to archive for posterity. Seeing how Bernard Hoffer is now in his late eighties, I'm thinking that window might be closing. If this hasn't been done already, then I'll be glad to get the project underway, if somebody would provide me with the key details.
