with over 15 photos of the sdcc lion-o and it looks SOOOO different and I think he now looks brilliant!!
Much more realistic and the face is brilliant.
only small critisism is the claw looks a bit weak/no aggression but it now has to be a 9/10
just now hope i can buy one from ebay.com after sdcc for a reasonable price for it as over $80 is pricey!
Well done icon heroes and bring on the tank and cats lair asap!!!
ENJOY

Chris here...
Whilst I have to say that some of what makes that look so good is the dramatic lighting, I definitely agree that the changes they've made to the face make this look infinitely better!
Well done to Icon Heroes for listening to fan reaction and making the changes, my opinion of this statue has completely changed!
Take care... :)

Well, judging by the pictures we have seen so far i'd say their main difference is the ligtning. The face sculpture seems to me almost identical. I don't think there's any big improvement or dramatic change, but yes, as the rest fans said it probably looks a tad better:liono.
What i actually like about this staction figure is the short blade of the sword of omens,it is the only Lion-o ever produced including the Ljn we have seen in this unique version.

Still hate that stupid claw shield pose. He never posed it like that in the show (by never I mean, you might find one still in one episode somewhere along the line, but nobody ever remembers him posing it like that as the first image that comes to their mind). He either had it clenched and drawn up to him to protect from a blast, finger pointed out to shoot one of the grappling claws, or had it relaxed at his side. Might as well have him palming Snarf's head.
I also don't like that section of hair sticking out in the back like someone moussed it wrong. If they lopped off that little section, I think it would be more show accurate.
Other than that, the statue does look better in that lighting (as someone said earlier, not sure if it really is improved, or just better lighting).
One thing I am VERY impressed with on the flip side, is the emblem on the belt. Hard Hero has done the best job recreating the Thundercats emblem of any figure/statue release to date, but Icon Heroes has done a pretty amazing job themselves. That is extremely difficult to recreate accurately and they appear to have done a superb job, so major kudos there.
Not bad for a first release, but they really need to pay more attention to the episodes when considering poses for future statues.
Also, since I don't see it, figure I'll post this here. Collider named the SDCC Icon Heroes Statue as #7 out of the top 10 collectibles to get at SDCC
