Makes sense that it will be a main character for the first release now
Maybe a transformed Mummra makes sense rather than us waiting til 2017 to get him so we get the two main characters first like he-man and skelator

Claudis could actually be a pretty big contender! They started MOTUC with King Greyskull - maybe they will start TC with a King as well!

Or maybe the anointment trials/coronation Lion-O with crown and cloak.

Now that would be fantastic!!! I really hope they make him (clothed preferably....)

He should come with removal clothes since he was nude and clothed in the same episode!

Hahahaha! If that's the case, then they can all come like that seeing as they all (except Jaga) didn't have the same on at the start...

They wont be doing that.

It will either be Jaga or the thunderkittens. Anyone else would be too obscure to be the first SDCC exclusive and the first figure of this line to be in the hands of collectors.
#27
Im gonna say

YOUNG JAGA VS RATILLA

From ThunderCubs - Part I. Jaga could later be re-used for the single release of "old" Jaga, with two new heads; one with, and one without helmet. Ratilla can be re-used for Ratar-O, which would require only a new head and paintjob.

King Grayskull was pretty obscure. ;)

Do you really think they'll do a double-package deal? It would be fantastic to kickstart the series with a combo 2-pack. We'll then have 7 figures come December!!!

Well, I obviously don't know, but it would be a good way to give collectors an extra figure, since the sub is only five figures this year. Also the "reusability" of these 2 figures would also be a + for Mattel. And I think it would work well as an SDCC exclusive, balancing on the line of well-know, "casual" favorite and obscure, fan favorite.

Very true. Have they done any 2-packs in the past as exclusives?

Yes...a lot of them are two packs
2008: King Grayskull and King Grayskull Bronze version
2009: He-Ro with chest image and He-Ro regular
2010: Adam with Translucent Orko and Adam & Orko regular
2010: Skeletor/Mo-Larr
2011: Marlena (with Captain Glenn outfit) / Cringer
2012: Vykron (one buck but had 3 different outfits packed in)
2013: Rotar/Twistoid
2014: Hordak w/ Imp chest
2015: Stonedarr/Rokkon

a few different years (2008, 2009, 2012) it wasn't a two pack, but had two figures available. They always have an exclusive that comes with more stuff then a standard figure.

Thanks Ninja Cat! :D That means there is still hope for a 2-pack of the Wily Twins :D

He was, and you have a good point there, it's just that he's not what I would have called "a figure that every MOTU fan will want". That's what I think it will be a core character.
Or... a Thundertank :P

That would be nice but I think a little too early. :D
King Grayskull wasn't exactly a figure everyone wanted...but he was the main character in the best episode of the MOTU 200X cartoon. He was also designed to look like the original design the 4Horsemen did for the 200X He-man.

My money is on Spirit of Jaga.

YES!
JAGA vs RATILA 2 pack is a must, equipped with a sword of plundar and treasure of thundera (at least the chest) then they should put 1 piece of treasure with random figures throughout the line. That way if you want all the treasures of thundera you have to buy all the figures.

Where do I sign?

I don't like to make predictions, because I suck at it ... but I wouldn't mind most of the suggestions from here.
I would really like the Lion-O with the crown and cape, Spirit Jaga or Claudis though.
#39
It actually just hit me - don't you guys recall that one representative from Mattel mentioned that there will be a Berbil multipack. And that we're gonna love it. What if the SDCC exclusive are the Berbils? Now that would be a nice surprise!!!

Something just occured to me: What if they did a Mad Bubbler in Prototype/toy colors for SDCC and released the cartoon colored version in the sub?
