Scaled down carded/packaging option for Ultimates?

I received my wave 1 ThunderCats Ultimates figures today. The packaging is extremely nice, like most of what Super7 does with their Ultimates lines. I'm not complaining, but I wonder if there is a way for Super7 to make scaled down packaging for those like me who open up the figures and just want a mint figure/accessories? Or is the effort to release the figures with two types of packaging negligible? Don't get me wrong, I like a nice carded figure, but for space reasons, I don't typically save it.
Is there anyone else who would like a scaled down ThunderCats Ultimates packaging to save on costs? What kind of scaled down packaging design would you want? And what amount of money savings would it be worth it to you for this? To me, it wouldn't be worth it if it only saves a few dollars, but $10 or more, that'd help, and potentially reduce shipping costs too.

They should put them in smaller boxes or standard cards and lose the needless accessories and release them for what they are really worth around $20 or less.

You will never see these for $20 or less at these numbers. I like it the way they have it - it is nice to get such a full rounded set of accessories for each character. It will help bring the full line to life and makes it that much more collectible.

Give me as much as possible as soon as possible. It was terrible almost missing out of it before, so an ultimate version with this type of packaging etc is just what I need :tongue

Like I mentioned in your other thread, I'd lose some of the extra stuff that it only going to stay in the box and pay less. I think the price difference between Matty and these, for what you get extra just isn't justified. I think having a lower price with just the necessary accessories would make these much more desirabl. Being able to own more of the figures is what makes them collectable and a price point of even 30-35 dollars would make that possible. Here the main figures are $47 and Mumm-ra is $68, not sure how long my interest will hold out while my wallet is taking such a pummelling.

That's a fair statement. I have another friend who wants these but can't spring for $45 or more, and that's not even counting shipping. Since these aren't sold at retail, shipping remains an unavoidable expense. Back in the MattyCollector days, a $20 MOTUC ended up being at least $35 after shipping and taxes.
Does anyone have an idea how much the packaging costs for Super7 in this line? It's so nice to me, but seems excessive. Is the cost for the packaging $8, $5, or more like $1? How much could potentially be saved shipping wise with a smaller box option?

I too have to count every cent twice and plan ahead as these are expensive for me to import, so any price drop would be appealing to me. But man I love this packaging. Much more than the Mattel one. Waaaay much more.

The old LJN card look like the Masters of the Universe Ultimates would have been very cool.
The shipping and taxes really adds cost to figures. Especially ones that are already over priced as it is. A UK shop recently got in the TMNT and Thundercats Ultimates and they want £70 for each figure. :roflmao Even at the £45 they still are way over priced compared to other similar colelctors products on the market with just as many if not more accessories.

I do like the packaging but I'm not box keeper never have been so if it shaves some money off both TC and TMNT then I'll be happy.
I also appreciate all the extra accessories but most of the time I store these away like we do need the orb of blah blah or the crown of roo-da-doo

I love boxes for storage. I think the key is boxes that don't waste space.

It would be awesome if super 7 offered a lose option for those who don't care about the packaging, or downsize the packaging and accessories to reduce cost. I never understood why I need 10 hands and 6 heads for one body. Extra weapons are ok to keep. Actually swap the extra hands for extra weapons.

That is exactly where I am at. A 'Basic' figure with 1 head and 1 weapon would be great. I could even see people buying extras for customizing. These figures look fantastic, and I would love to buy more, but they are well above my action figure 'ceiling'.
