rudeness to each other

hi all i just wanted to give a heads up on the tygra thread that ive intervened in what id call members being rude and offensive to each other for not liking charachters or whatever, i stepped in so hopefully it will be better now
its in the tygra thread in the new series section

I haven't paid much attention to that thread lately, but I'll try to keep a better eye on it as well.

Here's a thought. Let's close the Tygra Fan thread and start a new one with a clean start and have a criteria for all Fan Threads. Like...

1. If you're not a fan of the new character, don't post in the thread. It's a fan thread in the 2011 series forum for the new character, so let's allow only those who are a fan of this new character post in it. If you're a fan of the OS character but not a fan of the new one, just stay out of the thread and let those who like the new character talk about that character.

2. Liking the new character doesn't mean you have to like everything about that character, it's okay to post some negative comments as well, but in this thread it should be by people who overall like the character.

3. Let's keep the fan threads debate free. If one person says something they don't like about Tygra that another person would like to debate, then they need to debate it in another thread about that particular topic.

It's just a thought I had. You know I don't really like the new Cheetara, so I've avoided posting in the Cheetara Fan Thread. I leave that as a place for people who like her character to discuss her.

I find it amazing that people get so personally offended by people having strong opinions about the show and the characters that are opposite of theirs. I seriously don't get it. :confused: I mean, if people want to hate a character that I really like, why should that bother me? I just don't understand why people are getting so upset. Anyway.

Yep I think the fan threads need to remain just that. 'Fan Threads'!

Can you post those rules in the first post of each fan thread Code of Thundera? :) Then move any 'bashing' of that character posts to a new thread that fans can discuss characters in general. We might have a thread somewhere on the forum already where those posts can go to.

However unless forum rules are broken please do not delete the posts.

Infact any mod can do it, I only suggested CoT as she wrote up the rules ;)
