ROCKS 2D: Defenders Of The Earth - The Prince Kro-Tan Movie

In fairness there was some shows that did plan to make the female characters in the second series of figures, but would end up getting cancelled before the second series could be produced. It's kind of ironic that if they had just put the female character in the firsts series the toy sales would probably have done a lot better and got the second series of figures along with a second season of the cartoon.
Galadria and Verulina in Visionaries, J.B. in Bravestarr, Niko in Galaxy Rangers, Jenny in Bucky O'Hare, Kitara in Avatar etc.
Whilst the show and toyline didn't get cancelled it would have been nice to have gotten Arcee in the G1 Transformers toyline.

There was a lot of 80's toylines that did produce toys of the female characters:

I'm curious as to whether a new season would've further explored the Jedda/Krotan relationship. I saw some dramatic potential in that, and maybe a triangle with Rick.

Jedda only agreed to go with Kro-Tan to save the other Defenders. She was attracted to him initially when he was in disguise, but the minute she found out who he really was . . .

Yeah, I remember the story. I just saw the potential for some interesting Romeo/Juliet-style drama, had they expanded things and developed character.
