I started collecting this memerobilia when the Exodus movie aired the first time. That is where the loose collection hails from, I have had these since I was in the 6th grade I fell in love with it with the first viewing and have felt the same way ever since.

I didn't start collecting the MOC/MIB stuff until the late 90's and I tapered off in 2002 or so because cost was prohibitive.

I don't know if I have a favorite piece, I just enjoy having the collection that I have. All of the things I will be posting in here has either been willed to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. (Toys) Or the Library of Congress (Printed Media) so that they will be preserved for generations to come.

I'm in the process of putting newer, high resolution pictures of the toys in this thread so that they can be seen and referenced better, so bear with me.

I was told that this trade show display was on the tables of the Ney York Toy Fair in 1984 when there were no toys to display. I don't know if that's true or not, but it suckered me into buying it.

NOS lunchbox-

Fiori ThunderCats game. The game was supposedly made in Peru by the Fiori company without attaining the required copyrights for the ThunderCats franchise. Supposedly most of the board games were destroyed, but this one survived. The playing pieces are all in Spanish, and there are wooden pieces to hold the pawns that are the likenesses of the main characters, as well as a cup to roll a wooden die to see how many spaces one will move. The box opens up like a clamshell and the interior is the board.

Superior Toy Company ThunderCats Lion-O gumball machine. The box and bank (including Sword) are all original, but I had to fabricate the interior packaging myself for the bank so that it wouldn't roll around inside. Just wanted to clarify that so you would know the interior packaging is not original to the product.

Thank you but everyone else's collections in here puts mine to shame!

As per the country of origin for my Sword of Omens.....well, I'm not sure. I bought it from a place in New York. I was so desperate for a Sword Of Omens I didn't care where it came from (legally of course). I paid $300.00 for it and that was in 2000-2001 or so and ecstatically happy to do it too.

I wonder if it is from the Netherlands/Dutch? I don't know so I can't say. I don't think it came in a box like the American or British counterparts because there are peg holes on the card but the markings on the Sword are LJN all the way. The light still works but she's tempermental too. I don't put a battery in it often so as to not test fate.

Has anyone in here ever taken a Sword Of Omens apart? I wouldn't even know where to begin to replace a light bulb if I had to.

Regarding the Sword of Omens maybe I can shed some light on this. Since I´m living close to the dutch border I do speak some of the language and it´s definetly dutch subtitled in french if I´m not mistaken for many toys sold in belgium where printed in dutch/frensh. ;)

Hope I could help with this ;)

Btw, really a great collection you onw there :)

Danke, Mein Gelehrter Freund!!!!!!!! I have been wondering! I had an inkling that Dutch might have been the launguage but your answer takes away all doubt!

@BlackieCats: What do you know about the toy comapny you mentioned? Is that what the little lion in the triangle is? Their trademark? :duh:

Toy Options was a company outside of the U.S. that made the figures. I think they were made in England

The cards with the Toy Options address are basically the final releases from Rainbow Toys. The reason why they have Toy Options address on them was because Rainbow Toys leased warehouse space from Toy Options.

Toy Options actually exist today and are now known as Character Options. Infact they are one of the biggest UK toy companies as they are repsponsible for the new Doctor Who Toyline!

Yep Toy Options is a UK toy company. However they did not manufacture Thundercats themselves. That was Rainbow Toys, but I did always find it odd that Rainbow Toys isn't mentioned at all on the cards with the Toy Options address :? lol

I have a Toy Options Tygra, Snarf and Wilykit ;) The whip on the Tygra has a black handle and a very short whip!
