Yes its a licensed figure from Bandai's ThunderCats Classic 8 inches line. This Lion-O figure was released as a Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention or STGCC 2012 Exclusive. The convention exclusive has a sticker on the blister that says STGCC and came with a red display stand for the included Sword and Claw accessories. Yours doesnt have the sticker and I'm guessing also didnt come with the stand. I have one just like yours from Hong Kong w/out sticker and stand, I think these came from factory stock that the seller(s) managed to get a hold of before the start of the STGCC.

EDIT: mine doesnt have that huge sticker on the back. What does it say?

Ahh ok cool, no it doesnt have the stand etc, the sticker on the back is chineese writing with BANDAI.CO.LTD with a chineese address to a shop and www.funbox.com.tw.

Basically its a sticker from the shop that sold it me i think, any idea on the value?

Okay, cool! Well I imagine the figure is worth more WITH the stand, but in my opinion it definitly worth at least $50. I've seen them offered and/or sold for anything from $59.99 to $129.99 and sometimes more, so I think $50 is pretty realistic.

Maybe others have thoughts on the value? :)

I have a couple of these STGCC Lion-O's as well. I have seen them go for as little as $30 plus shipping on up. They seemed to go for more not long after they were released and have somewhat dropped in price from what I have seen. Either way I really like this figure and I had not seen one without the convention sticker before!

Red Lion-o

Hi All,
I have multiple of these as well, without the sticker. The reports I've read on the red bandai lion-o was that only 1000 of these were made in total. I too bought mine from HK but have had a bad experience with the seller extorting additional shipping fees and damaged the boxes on a few, so have lodged a case against them through PayPal. I got these for my own collection and personally think its a pretty cool figure. IMHO it rivals the Armour of Omens piece although both look pretty good. I wonder how many made it out without the sticker? I think I'm only missing 1 or 2 pieces to complete a collection of the modern bandai releases of TC. The Grune variant is one of them unfortunately. :-)
