Hello good people! :) Here are two illustrations I did of "Puzz-Lar", a character that appeared in the ThunderCats comics only. I did him in the style of the 80's cartoon, cel shading and all.

These are for my good friend "Cap'N Cracka's" FB site "Save the ThunderCats Campaign". Puzz-Lar will be the face of the Puzzles, Games and Activties section. Thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope you like them. :)

Not familiar with this guy, but those pics are pretty ace!
#4
Agreed. I am unfamiliar with the character but that is sublime work!

Thank you for the kind words, guys! I'm very happy that you liked the art. :D

Superlative!

He looks like a bit of an amalgam of other characters, like a Riddler, Joker, Gambit type of character. But somehow he still looks new and unique.

Great rendering Wilycub!

I've read up on Puzzlar in the old comics. He could really fit right in with the "ThunderCats" universe.

Don't know who he is, but sure looks like a reasonable guy to trust...

On another note, the colouring is very good and like the character expressions drawn. Nice job.

Those were my thoughts exactly when I first saw the reference pics! ;)

I agree. He would make a good villain. He'd probably have a lair filled with mazes and booby traps a la "Tower of Traps". :)

Yes, that's true. He could easily be written well in "ThunderCats" fan fiction, too. :)

You'll have plenty of time to do more "T-Cats" art when you feel like it. :)

At the risk of sounding incredibly stupid, who or what is The Ultimate Foe?

Well, not incredibly stupid.. just a little.. :D No, The Ultimate Foe is a creature that appears in the same Annual as the Puzz-Lar. It's a combination of Vulturemans beak, Mumm-Ra's head, Mumm-Ra the Ever Living's torso, Hammerhands hammerhand :), Mongor's arm and Slithes lower body and legs. It looks horrible and thus very cool! I'll see if I can take a QuicK Pick of him :)

I've been reading the UK comics online, and I discovered the Ultimate Foe creature you mentioned. He's definitely nightmarish.
