Great news! I've been looking forward to these. Can you ask them, since the kits come unpainted, if there's a chance for waterslide decals for areas like the ThunderCats symbols on belts, or Mumm-Ra's snake tattoo?

Then again looking at the Sword of Omens maybe they'll have those details elevated to make them easier to paint.

Neat! How much are these things going to run for?

I never understood why Mezco stopped making ThunderCats figures and WB switched to these...

It looks like these PrototypeZ have no articulation what so ever, never the less excited! ;)

If the pricing is similar to the other kits on their site they're gonna run about $200 give or take $30-40.

I might get them and put them on a backlog until I learn how to airbrush. I've been wanting to learn for Gundam modeling.

Also related; checked out Erick Sosa's deviantart page and there's a couple old sculpts of Vultureman and Slythe (not for the official kits).

Ok! I'm convinced that Erick and others with his type of talent need to do more action figure lines to satisfy the adult collectors!

Those Vultureman and Slythe sculpts are amazing!

Balgus, nice find on the deviantart page. I've updated our site page to include that image in the example gallery. I especially love the Vultureman.

T-Cat, these are resin model kits, meaning an assembled kit is a resin statue with no articulation. They're display pieces, not action figures.

Like you, I'm very excited that Erick and his team are producing this line!

Yeah I like that he was sculpting them for fun like that because it tells us that he's a fan and might put a little more love into it.

These definitely sound like they have the potential to be amazing! The price point will probably prevent me from purchasing, but I am none the less excited about more Thundercats products on the market!

Great news! But, dont we already have 3 Mumm-Ra the Everliving figures in that pose? MezCo, Pop Culture Shock & Icon Heroes? Give me a GRUNE or a JAGA or BOTH!:D

They look great but I have no interest in statues (kind of ironic since I was actually going to get into sculpture at college before switching to painting LOL) and the price point makes me even less interested.

Not so keen on that Ssslythe's face. Or Vultureman for that matter as they looks a bit to exaggerated like the Wildstorm comics.

Here's some pics of a very rough start to a Panthro that Erick did for fun (not part of the license) back in 2008:

Absolutely wicked! :D

Imagine if this guy had the rights to sculpt ThunderCats action figures! Wow...

I believe he would, if given the chance.

These sculpts are pretty cool. They almost seem a little to exaggerated to me though. I actually think I like the Slithe more.

Great news! Also, I love the photo of the slithe and vultureman sculpts from 2008! Wow! Wish these guys posted more pics of their work!

Not super keen on the exaggerated style but if these were fully articulated figures, I would them no questions asked. :D

I remember seeing these on statueforum.com when they where originally sculpted. It's a good site for seeing a lot of amazing work, particularly when stuff like Thundercats pops up!
