If you've read my recent thread about restoring classic toys, you may know I'm re-starting a little collection for myself. I was inspired to do this by seeing some of the other completely awesome collections by other members and was reminded of what memories the figures can bring back.

Although I can never compete with those collections (and I'm sure mine will only be very humble), I thought it would be interesting to document my progress here and share it with you all. There might not be many figures, but I'll try to take good photos so it's at least a little interesting! Here we go, stage one...

Those Mumm-Ra, Snarf, and Tuska Warrior figures look really good.

Thanks Daremonger! I think the photo makes them look a little cleaner than they actually are! I'm quite happy with my little collection, I got them all pretty cheap but each in reasonable condition so far.

As of today I'm now waiting for a few new friends to join them ;)

It's always cool to add a few new items now and again :) Hopefully in time you can put together a near complete loose collection :)

I hope so Blackiecats! Although I'll not hold my breath for the rarer figures!

Today, some new friends arrived for Mumm-Ra, Snarf and Tuska...

You're the man, Osbert. Panthro, Slithe, and the ThunderKittens really shine.

Thanks Dare! I think I've been quite lucky so far in that there hasn't been a great deal of paint wear on the figures I've received, some arrived pretty dirty but I've managed to clean them up. Slithe and Panthro are suffering from bad legs but still display well. Other from Mumm-Ra, I've managed to be resourceful and bag most of the figures for around £1 each (not including P&P). There will hopefully be another addition soon!

I hope so, too.

So now, Snowman and the Lord of the Thundercats have joined the party! They were ordered a while ago but only just arrived and both need some care and attention. Unfortunately, this may be as far as I get with my little collection as money problems have surfaced again. So my collecting days are on hold indefinitely but I hope you enjoy what may be the last photo!

You have to keep posting as your collection continues to grow. It's interesting to see where you started and how far you have come, great collection and really lovin how much more colorful each picture gets!

I agree! Refreshing to see someone really collecting the line and they are all in such great condition as well! Keep it up!

I wish there were others like Osbert who're willing to restore the LJN "ThunderCats" line to its original glory.

Thanks guys! Hopefully one day I'll be able to pick the collecting up again and I'll be sure to update here.
