One to keep an eye on: Rat3ch

The posting thus far feel fake to me. Brand new and posting in several different threads with short 1 sentence or less comments that are vague and don't really sound like it is from someone trying to continue the conversation. My gut instinct is that it is someone just trying to get their post count up for some reason.

I could be wrong though.

Yeah I'd nuke the posts and ban them for being 'a suspected spammer'. If they contact us to complain and are genuine we'll cross that bridge if it happens. But I very much doubt they are a genuine member.

Curiosity has me on this account. It doesn't make sense to be a spammer, as they have full posting privileges after the initial reply to any thread, right? Besides, they haven't broken any rules, yet.

I would prefer to see what this person does first. If no more activity within a week or so, then we could nuke it with a little more certainty that it isn't a legit account. But that call is up to you.

He has posted a link to a FB page now. I just hope it isn't a FB scam page :( I looked up the IP and it says it's from a connection in Bolivia....

Short comments like that don't demonstrate a desire to actually engage anyone in actual discussion. And to jump from that to posting external links does seem rather suspicious.

Yeah, I thought it might have been one of our perpetual pests, but looks like a subject-intelligent spammer.

I think we're safe nuking it now.
