The title says it all. Would you vote for her? I would. :) Edwards would be my second choice, with Guiliani a far third. Next years election should be very interesting.
#2
In my 10 years Ive been eligible to vote I have not voted once. That will all change in the 2008 elections. My vote will go to Hillary
#3
With myself living in NY I have seen her not really do a whole heck of alot on anything. While I would openly welcome a female president I dont think it should be her (esp after the water gate fiasco I dont think we need another nixon in office {granted we went through it with old bill already} Also I have to point out the people that turned up dead during bills presidency I would expect more of the same with her. it just shows they are crooked) I know it's the nature of politicans to be crooked. Oh well whatever happens happens as I dont vote so I really shouldnt have an opinion on this.
Also didnt she run the country for bill already (or is that just my view)

Interesting question.

My opinion is a resounding no… not only because I object policies of her chosen party, but simply because I don’t trust her.

She is a master politician… driven by polls, duplicitous in her behavior, and seeming to care more about her personal legacy, rather than service to country. Her husband was also an excellent politician, well crafted, well scripted, and ever aware of the political winds, but he pales in comparison to Hillary.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a somewhat die hard Republican for over two decades now. But, given the rather abhorrent state of politics these days… I cannot honestly say that I support the current administration or the congress. Few politicians from either party genuinely care about the governance for the betterment. And of those few, most will not challenge the status quo when faced with rebuke for daring to not tow the party line.

Given the current list presidential hopefuls from both major parties, I can only sigh that this is the best our nation can do.

Hillary cant be any worse than Bush. C'mon this country has gone downhill since he's been in office and I trully think he rigged the last elections. Kerry shouldve won that.

No I don't feel that way at all. Personally, I grew up during the Clinton Administration which is why I'm probably bias towards what he did for the country. I believe Hilary Clinton could get the job done so long as she has the right advisors by her side. Besides, like MannyC said, could she do any worse than Bush and the current administration?

I think people need a change of perspective when it comes to how the country is being run and who is in charge. Not only would Hilary be the first woman president, she is also a Democrat..and seeing how the House and Senate are now controlled by Democrats, I think the tide is finally changing. Time to see what the Democrats can do.

Of course, I don't agree with everything Bill Clinton did during his time in office, but I think the same can be said for any president.

While Bush has certainly proven to far from an ideal leader, Hillary can be worse… as her and Bill attempted to prove during his administration. Socialized medicine anyone?

Granted, health care should be far cheaper and more widely available… but the idea of a massive, government Department of Health and Medical Services scares the hell out of me. Insurance companies all ready find it cheaper and easier to deny or delay treatment until a patient expires. The last thing I want is a half-wit civil servant, with no accountability, deciding whether a kidney transplant is really medically necessary on an elderly, or medically risky patient.

Just because you finished you degree online, and got a few extra points on a civil service exam, does not qualify you to make medical decisions. Trust me, I have far too much experience in dealing with these types of folks, everyday.

And don’t get me started on Clinton’s “Crime Bill”. Bill himself later admitted that the scope of his massive gun ban was a huge factor in the next election. It cost the Democrats control of congress.

As to Kerry, well… I think his quote of the United States having to pass a “global test” in order to defend its interests speaks volumes. I’d hate to imagine the scenario required to gain approval on that exam.

Bush is far from ideal… but yes, things can get worse. People love to decry the violation of there civil liberties during a Republican administration… but barely utter a whimper while surrendering those same liberties in exchange for a free check and the promise of a nanny state under a Democratic administration.

Okay, I stand corrected. It can get worse, but it won't under anyone other than Bush. :) Because of the current state of our country, we have to be optimistic rather than pessimistic with the future of a new president. That's the stance I'm going to take...otherwise, it WILL get worse.

Wow - Fuzzy, you REALLY know your stuff. Your answers are well researched and well worded. I've agreed with every word you've said. Hilary Clinton will be the worst thing to ever happen to this country.

If anyone was to actually read up on Bill's accomplishments, they'll see that they are few and far between. He was an excellent speaker and fantastic with the media - he accomplished very little in his presidency.

In fact, if one was to trace the reason that our economy went threw a recession, they'd see that Greenspan (a hardcore democrat) was not upholding his responsibility as chairman of the federal reserve during clinton's rule. he was playing with rates to keep that bubble growing. i suspect that he knew all along what effect this would have in the end. it had gotten so bad that at the end of clinton's era, he could not keep up with this fiscal irresponsibility and the market started tumbling, right in time for bush to take office. clinton rode in on elder bush's coattails; that's why our country was so strong at the time.

in short - PLEASE avoid voting for hilary. i'm am very pro having a woman president and a minority president, just not hilary. she will be the worst thing that ever happened to this country.

ps GO RUDY!

I cant agree more with you. Our economy was great during the Clinton administration, perhaps the best economy in years. I cant see people voting Republican for many years to come. Bush has gotten us into such a mess it is unbelieveable. I heard recently that the bush administration has gotten us into more debt over his terms than in the first 150+ years of the United States. This war has reached beyond stupidity if you ask me. I have been to Iraq for 15 months straight and although Republicans are good at giving the military raises and all I would much rather take no raise for the next 5 years than to keep on going with this war

Man, I wish I wouldn't have asked for this to be un-locked! OK, I'm a Republican, I have nothing against a woman president, but I'll be danged if I ever vote for another Bush or Clinton!

It's the great void...but you know even with our differences we still keep it civil around here. Flaming wont be tolerated so there's no worry on that end. You know i was pro-republican for a few years but now that I am in the military and experienced first hand what the Bush administration has done my vote for the upcoming years will be Democrat and will probably stay democrat.
The Clinton administration minus the Lewinski scandal was the best we have seen in years. If you think about about it if you take away the Lewisnki scandal, Clinton did all right....c'mon what president would be cool enough to play a saxophone with a pair of shades on on a TV show. You can expect Mrs. Clinton to do a good job, at least much better than what Bush is doing, the problem now is that if Hillary gets elected she will have a big mess to fix, the economy, the war, the interantional relations, and the list goes on and on

Lovely; I hate "those" people, I hate "that" person and anyone who is affiliated with them. Glad to see that common ground will never be sought, unless everyone ceded to your demands.

Fact is, Republican or Democrat... if they are all out for themselves (which they almost always are), blindly supporting one parties agenda versus the other, is still narrow minded; no matter how one attempts to quantify it.

Ah, the age of the Dot.Com boom... great times indeed. Clinton did indeed help the market a great deal, simply by keeping hands off on it. (That's a very good thing, honestly) Most politicians try to sway the markets to there ideal, via the good ol' carrot and stick routine. Lower interest and looser regulation if you play nice; SEC crackdowns and higher capital gains taxes if you want to play hardball.

I'll give Bill Clinton his due, but the major portion of credit still has to go to all the venture capitalist that really fueled that boom time.

As for people abandoning the Republican party... it is possible, seeing that it has lost it way. Fiscal responsibility, greater personal freedoms, and less market regulation where cornerstones that have to be returned to, if the party has any hope of future appeal.

Lewinski was the pinnacle? I was always a bit more concerned with the Clinton administrations coziness with numerous Chinese nationals, who have since been accused or convicted of various fund raising/money laundering schemes.
Cool with a sax or not; when the Peoples Republic of China steals plans for your newest nuclear warhead... the president fooling around is the very least of my concerns.

Comparing one Clinton to the other is a something of a mute point. They are two very distinct entities with two very different personalities. Truth is, I trust Bill more than I’ll ever trust her… and he tried to curtail some liberties that he had little right to lay hands upon.
The notion that a single person can single handily “fix” our economy, stop the war overnight, and make us the world’s best friend again, is quaint, but wholly unrealistic. Simple fact is, like it or not; both parties are going to have to find common ground. Bush is far too polarizing at this stage of the game to negotiate with. But then again, so are all those going around shouting “I hate Bush and all ReThuglicans!”

Sure makes me hesitant to sit down and break bread with those that rather call me names, than sit and talk openly and civilly.

the fact that i vote anti-rebulican is the fact that i hate most of the things that they stand for

Im pro gun control
im anti religon
im for the common guy getting ahead
im for tax breaks for the middle class and not for the rich
im anti the war
im for gay rights

ummm lets see i could go on but its pointless hell f it there isnt anything worth trying to save anyway. the freedoms that the armed forces are fighting and dying for are being taken away on a daily basis so it dosnt really matter because people feel "safe" now

so yeah i hate the things that the bush regime stands for thus i hate the people that stupidly voted him into office.

I dislike politics, but I couldn't help myself...

I'm more of a middle of the road person -- I have views that come from both parties. That being said, I lean more towards Democrats when I vote. I definitely was not a fan of John Kerry and if it had not been for Bush, I would have voted Republican. However, I think the Democrats have some strong candidates this time around so long as the voters aren't going in blindly like last time. I vote for John Edwards last time around...but I think his age had something to do with him not gaining popular vote.

Obama is iffy for me in the fact that I think he's only gained popularity due to Oprah's support. I guess the same goes with Hilary (being a former First Lady), but I trust (and I'm using that word loosely) Hilary more than I would Obama. to set the country back in right direction. I just don't like Giuliani. All he would do is continue where Bush left off and that is NOT what this country needs right now.

Anyhow, as the election gets closer, I'll be interested to see how the country votes. All I know is, when Bush leaves, I'll be pumping my fist in the air. :)

And so will the millions and millions of The Rock's fans!!!!!!!! Sorry i couldnt help myself on that one but I think i may throw an out of the office party when Bush leaves. Screw yearly raises for the military so long as we dont have to go to the desert

I gotta' tell you I'm afraid of all the candidates especially Hillary Clinton!

I have a good mind to stay at home and not vote at all because the politicians don't care about anyone but themselves, their supporters and own special interests.

I do have to say.........if it comes down to there being no Ron Paul and it comes down to McCain and Clinton I will vote for Clinton even though I am a registered Republican!

If Hillary Clinton does get elected I hope to goodness she follows her husband's example in the White House. Bill Clinton was so occupied with his extraneous affairs and personal scandals he didn't have time to meddle in government and the country ran more smoothly.

And maybe we'll get another poem from Maya Angelou too.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone.....its just my opinion and doesn't have a thing to do with yours and I respect it.
