These are one of kind items. The owners will want to make as much as they can on them. I know I would. People really need to accept that.

Absolutely - I've got a vintage Gibson acoustic guitar that I'm thinking of selling and there's no way that I would put that up for auction without a reserve on it! ;)

To be honest, I'm shocked that people would be so naive as to think that an item like a Mad Bubbler prototype would go on sale without a reserve!

Take care... :)

I started my eBay auction at $400. for the Tongue-A-Saurus. No reserve, but I really thought it was worth $400-500 tops. No one complained about that, and I still can't believe it sold for $850. And that was for a production item.

A Mad Bubbler, LunaTacker, or Feliner could easily be 4 times the price of a production item.

Was it in a sealed box? If that's the going rate for a complete toy boxed with all inserts then wow! Glad I got mine when I did!

EDIT: Just searched completed listings... yeah yours is pretty much mint and unopened technically since the toy hasn't been removed from internal packaging. Mine has, but is still in great working condition and includes all the box inserts and instruction sheet.

Yeah, it was only removed from the outer box for photos once the tape deteriorated and fell off on its own.

I couldn't believe it went that high, and I even had a guy offering $950 or more after it ended because he claimed his bid didn't go through in time.

Back on topic though, I do anticipate more posts of "their reserves are too high"
