Simply a beautiful figure. Definitely a hundred times better then what Bandai put out.

It would have been nice if Bandai had worked more on the face sculpt and not had unpainted joints and bendy weapons. I still think the metallic shinny claw looks better than fur. It is a shield after all and whoever heard of a furry shield? It has to be metallic. Mumm-Ra could see his reflection in it!

Agree with ya 100% I can't stand to look at my Lion-O's ankles, they are hideous orange distractions. Not to mention he barely wants to remain standing. Thank Jaga Mattel has taken over!

Wonderful work! I must say, thank you to the 4H and Mattel for taking our complaints seriously and for showing us the update before the next Con! Good job guys!

I'm so glad Mattel's gonna do right by the ThunderCats community.

Awesome! Looks quite a bit like my modified version, especially the hair. :)

Yet another epic comparison! :D

Is this the finished piece or will there be more updates on the figure?

There'll likely be more updates on the figure.

This is a very strong valid point...

Most definitely true.

While I still don't mind a furry glove (always thought it was made of fur growing up), I was actually looking through some of the production art, and the notes for the claw shield actually does say the back of the shield has a "special metal plate."

Totally sweet!

Ya it would be nice if the claw was more in line with the referenced material, but at this point I am so happy with the figure that I can barely complain!

I agree, I feel to bad to ask more changes, but it will be nice if they can make the claw a bit more cartoon accurate as well. (I agree with others that it should be smooth, smaller in size and also the nails on it should be smaller).

If you look at the referenced material / the cartoon / the ljn figure / even the Bandai figure, the claw is really just a small layer over the hand and fore arm ...

In the cartoon and the original LJN the claw shield was just basically a metal glove/gauntlet. The 4H claw shield looks as if Lion-O has his arm inside another creatures forearm.

Wilycub's version of the first Lion-O prototype has a custom-made, show-accurate Claw Shield. ;)

Well to be fair, the glove actually IS fitting over the figure's arm. And you probably have to take into account how thin they can make the molds. This might be as thin as they could make it without replacing his entire forearm.

I love it! I wish the belt and insignia where a little more shiny. I would also dig a more metallic looking claw shield. Maybe they can pack one with a future character. I find it hard to believe that there will only be ONE Lion-O released if this line goes for at least 4 years.

Lion-O, Jackalman, and mummy Mumm-Ra are the first three figures for next year.

Bandai's claw shield was perfect so the 4H should be able to do the same or better it.
