i THINK this one will be closer to the cartoon than Lion-o

Looking good, cant wait to see the finished product.
#4
Why is he standing on top of his tomb?
#5
'cause it looks sick!
#6
Really liking the looks of this so far. I think having him on the head of the tomb is a great use of artistic license. Very cool!
#7
Wow!! I REALLY like what they've done here. Hell I think it looks great just like that without any color.:D

Holy Jaga!

I have to keep tabs on this. If this Mumm-Ra is giant sized like the PCS Lion-O I might have to buy it. I can see it now, Hard Hero ThunderCats vs PCS Mumm-Ra, it would be like recreating The Last Day (When Mumm-Ra becomes giant sized in a last ditch effort to wipe out the ThunderCats).

No doubt!!Mumm-Ra the Ever living looks incredibly awesome:mummra::thumbsup:

I have one question though of practical matter. Mumm-ra in this form is supposed to be much taller than Lion-o according to the show... Does this mean the Statue will be over 32'' in order to keep the proportions right...

I am hoping we'll have some more images of Mumm-Ra soon. Stay tuned!

Is it too early to ask how tall (including base) this beaty is going to be?

Its not set in stone yet but about 26"

Jerry answered my question regarding Mumm-Ra's height in the Statue Forum.

So Lion-o is 32'' and Mumm-Ra about 26'', Lion-o's sword though would be around 4-5 inches

Jerry posted more images on his blog:

Here are some shots of the 26″ tall Mumm Ra prototype before painting and cloth costume.

EX to include Lights and Sword of Plun-darr.

What's going to be lit up hasn't been announced. Guessing eyes. Wishful thinking skull, eyes, sword :)

Mumm-ra's being painted on Monday!

I'm not usually into statues, but this one looks pretty awesome so far. How they put the cape on him will make or break it fro me.

Mumm-ra is complete with clothing. PCS is awaiting approval from Warner Brothers.

Target ship is July.

Approx: 26″ tall
Regular: No sword of lights
Ex: Sword of Plun-Darr and lights. What's going to be lit isn't completely clear yet.

Jerry mentioned that the streamers for the headdress still need to be added.

Simply awesome!

WOW!

That is totally awesome! I love the bandages! Personally, I would have made the bandages an off white, perhaps beige, not white.

I wasnt impressed by their Lion-O but this is awesome!!!

That is amazing! I really hope Bandai stay this true to the cartoon look with their Classics figures :) That is one nice piece ;)

I dare say that this Mumm-Ra is much more closer to the cartoon image than Lion-0..Probably better, because it encompasses the dynamic represantion of the cartoon and at the same time the imposing, artistic version of Mc Guiness drawing. And none is done to the detriment of the other.
