Hi guys,

I've managed to re-establish contact with Mike Drake from Mezco Toys, and he's told me that he'd be up for doing an audio interview for our site, which I guess would be for release either on our podcast or one of our video news casts! :)

Mezco's ThunderCats product line are all available from Big Bad Toy Store, so this would be a good opportunity to get some nice content for the site, and also get a good word in for one of our sponsors! ;)

I'd really like to strike whilst the iron's hot with this - Nick, I know I'm burdening you horribly with all the many jobs I'm sending your way, so if you wanted I'd be happy to handle this one - however, if you don't feel I'm putting too much on your shoulders, you're the best man for the job! :)

Let me know what you think, guys! :)

Take care... :)

I'd say go for it Chris! Can you phone him via Skype?

With your enthusiasm for the Mezco products I'd say your best suited to this one ;)

I actually agree with blackiecats on this one. If you can find a way to do it via Skype and record it, go for it. I'm having some internet issues which is making telephone interviews slightly worrying (due to the constant dropping - shouldn't be too much of a problem if I schedule them during the night) and you're much more knowledgeable about the toys side of ThunderCats than I am. I'll help you out in anyway that I can.

Chris here...

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback - that's totally fine, I'm more than happy to take this one on, I have £7.00+ Skype credit that I purchased when Neil, Kyle & myself interviewed Larry Kenney for ThunderCast waaaaay back in 2007, every few months I have to phone myself to save the credit, so it would be nice to actually spend it on something! ;)

I must confess I'm not 100% certain what piece of software I would use to record a Skype convo but I'm sure there'll be something on this Mac I can use! :)

What I might need to do is try dialling one of you guys one evening and try doing a test recording, just to make sure that whatever setup I have works OK - would this be a possibility? :)

Take care... :)

yeah i can do test stuff with my built in mic :)

I'd find out if he uses Skype first though... might save you some money.

Thanks Neil, and yep, I agree with this - all I need to figure out now is what application to use to try and record a Skype conversation! I sense an e-mail to Kyle coming on... ;)

Nick, what do you use for recording Skype? LMK my friend, as there might be a version for Mac! :)

Take care... :)

I remember using something called Pamela for my early ones :D

Still trying to find a good free Mac up for pulling this off - I wonder if GarageBand (which I already have on here) would work? :)

Take care... :)

I use SkypeMXRecorder. I paid about a fiver for it in dollars - that is, before it hit the big time and they increased the price. It's still not too expensive - but the investment is worth it. Unlimited Skype call recording, not having to worry about times or anything like that.

Thanks for this, Nick - so, this is officially endorsed by Skype themselves? I'm guessing they will make a version for Mac (as I believe you're on Windows)? :)

Take care... :)
